If there is a clear desire on the part of the Mexican people, then of course I would support it (the same goes for Canada). That said, I believe it is far more likely that the US dissolve into a number of different countries than the absorption of Mexico (or Canada).
**I would mainly support such an idea because it would end the division of the Californias...it was/is a historical injustice that California was partitioned after the Mexican War. All of California should have been 1) granted independence, 2) incorporated into the US, or 3) remained part of Mexico after the war. To me, the wall/fence between Tijuana and San Diego is as repugnant as the Berlin Wall was.
