Are there any debates or conventions or anything that could change the nature of the race? I feel like US politics have been studied down to a science but I know nothing of Austrian politics.

What would change if Hofer assumed the presidency?

Couple questions for you:

What's VdB's stance on immigration? What's Hofer's stance on climate change/the environment?

Edit: Changed "policy" to "stance" since the prez has less power over there.

New Kurier/OGM poll:

"Do you support a general facial veil ban ?"

74% support a general ban
16% only in public areas such as town halls, schools, courts etc.
  9% no

Dayum, that's decisive. When do you think something like this will be enacted?

Also I have another question for you. How many refugees live in Austria now? Do they have camps like in France? I could see it being very difficult to enforce something like this in a refugee camp.

There were many meetings over the weekend between party officials, candidate representatives and the Interior Ministry and they are talking again in the evening and tomorrow morning.

Looks like the election delay is a done deal, which will be announced tomorrow at noon by the Interior Minister.

The law needs to be amended now, which takes some time and the FPÖ has said it will vote for the law as well.

The delayed election will now most likely take place in late November, in December or in January.

You guys might as well just make your current guy president for life. If every little problem is gonna postpone the election or cause a recount you're never gonna get this done. lol.

LOL! Signs of desperation.

Similar attempts were made by Crooked Hillary. They failed miserably.

You couldn't have illustrated her point better if you tried.

Wow, congrats Austria. Facing a bigger threat from immigration than the US, you still chose the sensible path. Wtf is wrong with the US man...

Well, there was one Austrian artist a few years back who I'm sure would have voted for Hofer.... Tongue

lol
