I hope he survives this ordeal to face the consequences of his actions

Yes, America and the world need him to lose the election ideally, not just vacate the presidency so to speak. And Pence is probably more electable than Trump, especially if he becomes the nominee in these circumstances.

If Trump goes into ICU like BoJo but survives, would he be able to remain the nominee? BoJo tested positive on 27 March, went to ICU on 5 April, left ICU on 9 April, and returned to work on around 26-27 April.

Maybe a bunch of people touching the President is the wrong image right now.

He looks like he's in good condition in that tweet. Not like the videos Boris was posting when he was ill. It is early though.

A rough estimate, based on around 210,000 deaths and a 0.5% to 1% fatality rate, is that around 20-40 million Americans have been infected, potentially more. NYT reports that there have been 266,000 excess deaths, some of those were probably caused by the Covid-19 pandemic but not by the Covid-19 virus itself. That gives a range of 25 million to a bit over 50 million. Still, probably only around 15% of the population has been infected, I think the published estimates are that it is still around 10% or less.

I thought that was Deborah Birx for a second due to the scarf.
