And where in there did it say DeVos even backed that poster?  Heck, your article even said that at this point, he didn't--so nice observations:P.

Anyway--If that's what Granholm's Cool Cities is going to push--I don't want them.  I don't want our cities to be like Philadelphia and have a pro-gay nightlife (I forget what their slogan was).

MI banned gay marriage, so these Cool Cities could hurt Granholm and help DeVos as long as he doesn't associate himself too much w/ this flyer.

I doubt many people will associate Gay Marriage with Cool Cities. Besides, just because we banned gay marriage, It doesnt mean Michigan is hostile to the gay lifestyle. Cool Cities has gotten a good reception in my home city atleast. It has already contributed a nice riverside park and we are supposed to get a retired navy destroyer added as a riverside museum because of Cool Cities. People are beginning to notice the accomplishments Granholm is making. Just yesterday she helped add 450 jobs from ePrize to michigan by 2009. And Google is adding 1,200 jobs to Ann Arbor. I hope this atleast helps us in getting us off our dependence on the Automative industry.

I have nothing against Cool Cities as long as they don't try to attract gays outrightly.

The point of the g.m. ban was that if the point of gay cities was to atract gays, it could bring up some opposition.

1. Whats wrong with attracting them "outrightly"? Do you not like it when gays get uppity and start forgetting their place?

2. The gay marriage ban has nothing to do with this, there's far more to the whole debate over sexuality than marriage. (Discrimination, hospital visiting rights, adoption, the military segregation ban, etc.)

3. I love how the poster the article refered to rambled on from gay marriage to abortion ("killing unborn babies") to school prayer without missing a beat. These conservative Christians certainly have their agenda set out for them.
