One reason why cold weather is better than hot weather is because it's easy to get warm when it's frigid outside. It's just a matter of getting inside and dressing appropriately. Getting cool in the heat is more difficult.

Cold weather is under-rated. I hate it when the temperature goes over 90. I'd rather pile blankets and quilts on my bed then have a fan on 24/7.
In 2001 there was a heat wave in the northeast, it was 103 on the worst day and I'll never forget how awful I felt even with the A/C on. In Dallas a couple years ago it was over 100 degrees for 30 days straight.
Sasakatchewan's politics are too right wing for me. But on the other hand, as much as I like the NDP, they seem somewhat anti-Israel. So I guess I'd be stuck with the Liberals, who are mostly dead west of Ontario.
