Lake: Growing up, my family often struggled to make ends meet. My parents were Christian, but they just didn't have time to raise us in the faith. They had bills to pay. They had to work full time to support all 9 of us.

Lake: When I started working as a local news anchor, someone told me there wasn't much room for faith in the business. For a long time, I took that message to heart. I didn't really engage with that part of myself.

Lake: There was a time, a couple years ago, where I found myself in a dark place. I had just lost a friend to stage 4 breast cancer. I was devastated. I couldn't understand why such a terrible thing could happen to a good person.

Lake: I had a friend of mine invite me to their church after the memorial service had ended. For the first time in years, I was surrounded by a community of believers. They knew how I felt. They knew what I was going through.

Lake: Those people were there for me in my time of need. That was the moment I affirmed my faith and truly became a Christian.

Lake: I'm running for President because we need a leader who cares for this country and for our people. We have to share the same sense of community that led men and women to follow Christ over 2,000 years ago. We need to take care of our brothers and sisters, whoever they may be. Thank you! Thank you so much everyone. Wow. You folks are wonderful. This is such a wonderful crowd. Thank you!

Tonight, the people of Iowa have spoken. And they have spoken clearly! We have achieved a stunning result for all the time and effort you put into this campaign. We came into Iowa with no expectations of success, yet we are leaving tonight with a top three finish. You showed the Repiublican establishment, the woke billionaires, and the special interests that our movement is alive and well!

Everyone here, and all our volunteers across Iowa should celebrate this magnificient achievement. We are going on to New Hampshire with a solid performance in our back pocket, and I have complete confidence that this movement will go on to South Carolina, and Nevada, and beyond!

Folks, we are building a movement. A movement of Republicans, independents, and even some Democrats to take this country back. We are fighting for our homes. We are fighting for our families. Above all, we are fighting to take back control from a broken Washington that has stolen power away from the people of this country! We have the courage to stand up to the people sending our jobs to China and India. We have the courage to stand up to criminals who are taking over our cities. Excerpt from Lake speech in Manchester

Our Party and our country needs leadership right now. We desperately need a leader who says wbat they do, and does what they say. We need someone who can take back control for the people of this country. Someone who deeply cares about the American people.

You look at someone like, Glenn Youngkin, and he puts out a lot of nice statements. He says he's an independent. He says he cares for the people of this country. But, if you look at his record, and his past, he's not the one for the job.

Youngkin graduated from Harvard Business, 30 years ago, and immediately went to work for McKinsey. You know who those guys are? These guys, they're the ones that go from business to business, and they provide 'consulting services'. What are consulting services? Well, they basically tell you how to run the business. That can be very helpful for some people. But what Glenn did, what he did as a guy at McKinsey, he went around and told companies, "you have to cut costs. I know you make a billion dollars a year, but you don't make real money. You have to cut your workforce by 40%. You have to outsource. China's a great place for outsourcing, you should move your jobs there!"

And these companies, they listen to him. He's the guy giving them advice. So all these companies, they lay off Americans. They move jobs overseas. And Glenn gets to become a millionaire for his advice. That's not leadership. That's not leadership.

I'm here because we have to take back control from folks like Glenn Youngkin. We have to bring jobs back to New Hampshire. I'm driving down the road with my team, and I was shocked, utterly shocked, by the number of abandoned mills I saw. How many of those mill owners had McKinsey telling them to pack up shop and move to China?

Folks, as President, we're going to punish woke billionaires and their companies when they move jobs overseas. We're going to bring investment back into New Hampshire. We'll have a modest tax, on Chinese and Indian goods, and we'll use the money we get from that to bring jobs back to New Hampshire. So that you folks can take back control of your state and get back to work.

On Ron DeSantis

A lot of people have called DeSantis a snake or a liar. I think that partially gets at the truth, but it gives him too much credit. Ron DeSantis is a man who has never had an original thought in his life. He's not an independent thinker, he's not a real conservative. He has been a follower, time and time again, on the issues.

You look back at his record, and there's a lot of bad stuff in there. He voted for Paul Ryan's plan to gut Social Security and Medicare. He voted to raise the retirement age to 70, without any support for older workers above the age of 65. Can you believe that? Imagine working all your life in a mill, breaking your back to put food on the table for your family, and the Feds step in and say, "you have to work another 5 years now. You can't retire at 65." It's terrible. You run a small business for two generations, and DeSantis is saying, "sorry, you didn't work hard enough. You have to wait until age 70." Unbelievable. After working for 40 years, people should be able to retire. Americans should be able to retire. I mean, it's common sense folks!

Ron DeSantis doesn't believe in America First. He's put up this tough guy act in the hopes that people won't notice his flaws. Well, we'll see what the people of New Hampshire have to say about that.

February Pt. 2
Month's Theme: Made in America (New Hampshire Edition)

After a solid third place performance in Iowa, the Lake Campaign scrambled to prepare for New Hampshire. Time was of the essence, as the clock ticked down to primary day. Lake knew that New Hampshire's crowded field made outright victory very unlikely; as a result, Lake planned to aim for a respectable showing in the state. She held a trio of rallies in Manchester, Derry, and Lebanon as primary day approached, and her surrogates crisscrossed the state. Lake debuted two new radio ads targeted at older New Hampshire residents, both of which compared and contrasted her Social Security plan with Ron DeSantis' anti-American worker agenda.

On the ground, Lake visited retirement homes, diners, and the Monadnock Paper Mills in order to spread her message to voters. The choice was clear, Lake told reporters: she was an independent, a real leader for America. Ron DeSantis, on the other hand, was a follower, a man who voted to cut Social Security for seniors, and strip local communities of control. DeSantis would be a puppet for woke billionaires, and an enemy of the America First movement.

Working in conjunction with the Hawley campaign, Lake canvassed with friendly voters and spread the America First message far and wide. Some pundits whispered that Lake and Hawley (or perhaps Stone?) had reached some sort of deal to boost their respective candidacies to head off a DeSantis victory in the state. Lake refused to comment on these rumors, and accused the press of being in the tank for DeSantis.

As primary day drew near, Lake settled in with her supporters in Manchester. The campaign was already preparing to move on to SC, where the real battle would begin.

Lake Welcomes "Strong" New Hampshire Showing

I want to thank all my volunteers and supporters in New Hampshire for last night's result. While our campaign didn't win the day, you sent a message to the Republican establishment that can't be ignored. Regular Americans everywhere are embracing the America First message, and are tired of a broken political system that has only made their lives worse. They want a President who stands up for our country and our people. They want a President who protects our most vulnerable. They want a leader as their President.

We are moving on to South Carolina and Nevada today. The work of this campaign goes on and I have full confidence that we will go into Super Tuesday in a very strong position.

February Pt. 3

Month's Theme: Made in America (South Carolina Edition)

In the immediate aftermath of the New Hampshire primary, the Lake campaign stormed into South Carolina, bringing with it an army of surrogates and fellow travelers. The campaign spent the next two weeks in a fever pitched race across the state, touring small towns, visiting churches in the low country, and rallying in Spartansburg, Columbia, and Charleston. Lake drew on her experience as a local news anchor to hold large rallies that attracted longtime Republican and conservative voters. She promised to be a breath of fresh air in a Washington that desperately needed America First leadership to break the Biden-Harris agenda.

The Lake campaign poured its resources into the state, placing 5 new ads on TV touting Lake's plan for taking back control for average Americans. Lake hoped to tap into popular discontent among conservatives who distrusted Washington having more control of their education, their livelihoods, and of their values.

To that end, Lake torched Ron DeSantis as bought and paid for by woke corporations and by the Washington elite. In equal measure, however, Lake emphasized the need to fight for Christian values in a Washington that often ignored them.

The Lake team worked around the clock over the next two weeks. South Carolina was absolutely crucial to the campaign's momentum, and Lake put on a dazzling fireworks display at her final rally on primary day in Charleston.

Brothers and sisters, it is an honor and a privilege to be here to speak with you today. I want to thank you all very much for allowing me this wonderful opportunity to share my thoughts with you regarding the direction of our country.

As Christians, we are called to join one another in celebrating our faith in Christ. Each of us, young and old, share in this sacred dominion with the Son of Man. We are called to love one another. We are called to serve one another. It is in that spirit that I humble myself before you today, to ask that you hear my words and hold them in your heart.

Friends, I am sad to say I am not addressing you under better circumstances. The community of Christ has suffered some of the worst oppression in the history of this country in recent years. Our nation has a President who has undermined the faithful at every turn. This man, and his running mate, were chosen by dark forces to control this country. They have proven themselves to be in league with the enemies of this nation, both material and indeed spiritual. We see it in the amoral values they force upon our children. We see it in the way they prioritize criminals over law abiding citizens. We see it in the way they sell our countrymen’s jobs overseas for a quick profit.

The President, and Kamala Harris, represent the darkness that has consumed our land in recent years. They have rejected the light at every opportunity! They have embraced the path of greed and pride. And in doing so, they have hurt the community of Christ in this country.

Friends, brothers, and sisters, I say to you: WE MUST FIGHT BACK! WE WILL FIGHT BACK! As followers of Christ, we are called to this struggle, to this battle for the soul of our nation. We are called to take back control from the forces of tyranny! We are called to take back control from the wealthy and the powerful! We are called to take back control from the evildoers in our presence. This is our fight, this is our battle. If we are to rescue this nation from the path of perdition, we must do this united in the spirit and the glory of Christ.

For as it is said in Ezekiel 25:17, “The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee, with great vengeance and furious anger, those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee!”

I am disappointed by the serious allegations coming out of the Hawley campaign regarding the results of the New Hampshire primary. Our people on the ground did everything in their power to work with Josh, and give him a leg up in a critical state for his campaign. We shared data with Josh freely, without receiving any special favors or backroom deals in return. If he wants to blame conservative volunteers for his failure to win New Hampshire, that’s on him, not on the good people of New Hampshire.

Lake Concession and End of Campaign

I want to thank all my volunteers and supporters in South Carolina and across the nation for their valiant efforts over the past few weeks. You showed the political establishment that the American people want a true leader in the White House, and I am admire your dedication and perserverance in the face of adversity.

Unfortunately, there is no longer a path forward for my campaign. Today, I am dropping out and endorsing my good friend Roger Stone for President. He is a proven leader with the skills needed to vanquish the DC establishment and to bring the conservative movement back to its rightful glory. I have nothing but good things to say about him, and I hope to join him on the trail soon.
