Obviously will not be supporting this nor will I be supporting anything else that seeks to gut the New Great Society.

Would you like to elaborate on exactly how this guts anything?
I think his main concern is that these tax cuts will produce a gigantic deficit unless the entire act is repealed (or we raise taxes/cut spending elsewhere).

We need to cut spending elsewhere. That is up to us to find consensus on what those cuts should be.
Then it would be prudent for the bill’s sponsor to include spending cuts *with* the tax cuts, to avoid creating a crisis for us down the line.

We need to cut spending elsewhere. That is up to us to find consensus on what those cuts should be.

This is why I recommended a change to the UBI threshold.

$53,413-$106,827 is considered "middle income." Would a change of the UBI threshold to $70,000 alleviate some concerns?
