I guess when 700+ more Chicagoans are dead at the end of 2017 we can all shrug our shoulders and ponder what we can do in 2018.
Tell me how sending in federal troops will change this equation.

I think it would undoubtedly decrease the violence.  The gangs would be crushed.  But regardless, I don't support that.  Nobody here wants to have a serious discussion about what to do, they just want to attack Trump.  At least he's paying attention.
1. You're likely to see a lot of discrimination. I can guarantee you these troops are going to be given specific orders to profile and they're not going to be deployed to areas like Evergreen Park or the North Side.
2. Yes, something needs to be done. No, sending in the National Guard is not a long term solution.
3. Let's say you're unlawfully shot by a Guardsmen. How likely is it you'll get justice?
4. This encourages a breakdown in national spirit, replaced with allegiances to party and state.
5. Extended deployment for the National Guard will wear men thin and likely lead to protests from their ranks.
6. This doesn't address any underlying problems.

THe violence needs to stop NOW, not next year, not in 5 years. Not a single one of you has any idea how to do that, and throwing more money at the problem is not a sufficient solution.
1.  Chicago has loads of money, they just dont spend it efficently.
2.  Putting more money into schools etc is going to help kids 10-15 years down the line, maybe.  Whats going to save the kids there now???

Trump is an idiot who doesnt know what he's doing.  But at least he's proposing SOMETHING
Are you f**king with me? Stop.
