It's clear, from the comments he made during his campaign (about Republicans getting COVID and the like), that he is generally incapable of thinking before he speaks. I think it's only reasonable to want him far, far away from any position of power and influence.
Sure, it's possible that that one day he will be a mature, thoughtful adult who has genuine remorse for his past, and has worked to be a better human being. Like anyone else this young, society should allow him the chance to grow and change. But it's exceedingly obvious he's nowhere close to becoming that person yet.
