Oklahoma City, Oklahoma1
socially-distanced, masks mandatory, livestreamed on OK Labor Website

Howdy, Oklahoma City!

Three years ago, the teachers of Oklahoma wnt on strike to protest low pay, overcrowded classrooms, and tax cuts that resulted in lower statewide education spending. It was a strike that caught the attention of the country: a traditionally conservative state where Bushie lives is uniting for the unions. For the teachers.

The unions won that battle, and resulted in a $6,000 salary raise for teachers and $1,250 salary raise for support staff.2 These draconian cuts were rolled back, and the unions won a rare victory in an unlikely state.

Labor supports teachers, particularly now as students begin to return to the classroom. Teachers must be prioritized in order for us to reopen schools in a safe and responsible way. Having spoken to many teachers in Oklahoma at the local Braum's, I can tell you that they want to reopen schools and revert back to traditional leaning as soon as possible. But they must be safe, they must be vaccinated, and they must have the confidence to teach our students in-classroom after over a year of Zoom sessions.

Our teachers want it. The students want it. The parents want it. And it ought to be a motivation to vaccinate all our teachers.

Don't fall for hoaxes and scams, folks. Hank Boomhauer is the candidate that will fight for local unions, reverse tax cuts for the very wealthy to improve our schools, and always, always focus on Christmas.

Next week, vote for the party that has overseen our very successful COVID response. Let's build on the progress we've made here. Let's reject cults of personality and petty rivalries for a new Oklahoma. Next week, vote for Hank Boomhauer and Labor candidates up and down the ballot.

Muskogee, Oklahoma1
socially-distanced, masks mandatory, livestreamed on OK Labor Website

Merle Haggard's 'Okie from Muskogee' plays in the background as former Vice President Scott and Labor gubernatorial candidate Hank Boomhauer walk on stage

Hello, Muskogee!

It's been my pleasure to accompany Hank Boomhauer on our continued tour of the state. I am particularly glad that the Democratic Alliance and Labor are putting their differences aside, and with a DA candidate running alongside Hank, I'm confident that we'll have the coalition to flip this state from orange to red!

We've heard a lot from the Feds here in Oklahoma. They tell you that a mandate for Labor in Oklahoma means draconian gun control measures. They want you to think that Oklahoma Labor will stand only for the interests of the big cities, and not small towns or cities like Muskogee. They want to wage a culture war against a state party that knows its citizens.

I stated from the very beginning of my nationwide tour for our party that I would recruit candidates for local office who would represent their districts best. Not just those who share the national party's stance on gun issues or abortion. Labor knows what's best for the people of Oklahoma. That's a decent standard of living. A raise in wages for the teachers who striked against low pay and overcrowded classrooms. A smooth, safe transition for the state economy and the reopening of our schools. Vaccine distributions for our seniors, essential workers, and very soon, anybody who wants one.

Labor has managed to score big victories in culturally conservative states and regions. In Texas. In Louisiana. In Florida. In Ohio. In Pennsylvania. Back in my home region of Frémont, Labor boasts about our strong record of protecting rural communities while celebrating the right of people to protect themselves and their families.

I was the sole Labor senator who voted to block the federal assault weapons ban in the Senate. I gave the Pericles administration and a lot of people in my party a good fight on this issue, and though ultimately unsuccessful, I can attest to the great diversity within our party. I know Hank Boomhauer. I recruited Hank Boomhauer. I can attest that Hank Boomhauer will protect gun rights for law-abiding citizens, hunters, and outdoorsmen.

I think this is an issue where there is census in a state like Oklahoma, and Federalist attempts to introduce gun issues and cultural cleavages like the urban-rural divide into this campaign is a poor attempt to paint Oklahoma Labor's priorities as something they're not. But the people of Oklahoma know that the values of New York or California are not shared by most Oklahomans.

What binds Labor is our universal commitment to the poor and working men and women of Atlasia. People of all races, genders, religions, creeds, and sexual orientations. Those who are disabled. Indigenous Atlasians who are indispensable to the unique culture of this state.

Don't fall for obvious scams, Oklahoma. One of your most valued residents - and I think I can see him in the audience here tonight - can attest to getting the short end of what looked to be a good deal.

There he is - BushOklahoma, everyone! Let's all give him a round of applause.

And now, I'll let my friend Hank say a few words.

Anchorage, Alaska1
socially-distanced, masks mandatory, livestreamed on AK Labor Website

As I wrap up my national tour, I'm glad to be back in the State of Alaska.

My friends, despite the hard work of Governor Keenainak, the legislature of this state is nothing short of a "coalition of chaos". But what the left in Alaska is aiming for now is unity. The Liberals have officially endorsed a second preference, and Labor has responded in kind.

What Alaska needs is a stable legislature and an end to gridlock. But Labor has proven, time and time again, that we have Alaska's best interests at heart. I'm proud to have been part of the effort to bail out the Permanent Fund and save Alaska's public universities. I'm proud to have fought to keep Alaska in our great country and Commonwealth.

With a unified Labor and Liberal government, Juneau will get things done for this state. We will end up the gridlock. We will unify against obscure fringe-left movements that serve no one but the individual propagating them.

Dave bless you, Alaska. It's been an honor to campaign across the state. Labor truly is the party of Alaska, and with a mandate we will build this state. I cannot understate how committed Frémont Labor has been to Alaska's prosperity. Don't throw away the progress that's been made in this state for personality cults.

Better days are ahead for Alaska. We will continue to maintain the status quo on gun ownership while requiring universal background checks. The liberty and safety of all Alaskans will be ensured under a unified government.

Thank you for having me once again. This marks my last step in Alaska for the cycle. I leave you all with this: vote your conscience. Vote for the party that has always stuck with you.

Thank you. Dave bless Anchorage. And Dave bless the great state of Alaska.

Norman, Oklahoma1
socially-distanced, masks mandatory, livestreamed on OK Labor Website

Before my final trip to Puerto Rico, I chose Norman to wrap up my tour of the state with Hank Boomhauer.

We're both very confident about switching Oklahoma from orange to red, but we need all the support we can get. We need turnout. And here we need a diverse coalition of progressive and conservative Laborites to get things done.

The Federalist attack on Labor's gun policies here are without merit. This is Oklahoma. Guns have a different meaning here than they do on the coasts. Labor will lobby for stronger background checks and red flag laws, but the right to bear arms will be protected under a Labor administration.

Reject the Federalist caricatures. Look at the policy and record. A Labor or Labor-Liberal majority will bring infrastructure and investment in education. We've done the same thing in Louisiana. We've done the same thing in culturally conservative states like Utah, like Nebraska, like Ohio, and countless others.

Labor is the party of the working man. The farmer. The artisan. The tech experts who are moving our world forward. We routinely sweep rural counties by running on this key message, and Hank Boomhauer understands that. Labor is the party of rural.

Thank you again, Oklahoma, for having me over this past month. Vote for Labor candidates up and down the ballot. Vote for a progressive legislature that will move the state in a better direction.

Vote for Hank Boomhauer: a common propane and propane accessories salesman who made his way to the top. We're proud of our candidate. He will put Oklahoma first, above partisanship and personality cults.

I will soon be departing for Puerto Rico, to spread our vision there. To fight Federalist do-nothing legislatures. To make our message known throughout the country.

Thank you, Oklahoma. Dave bless you. And Dave bless the Republic of Atlasia. RoA! RoA, folks!

San Juan, Puerto Rico1
socially-distanced, masks mandatory, livestreamed on PR Labor Website

I am so happy to be here on my last day of my monthly national tour, having campaigned in every state and city up for election. Having met with so many Atlasians from all walks of life. Reaching out to new voters and expanding our coalition. Continuing with great leadership in all levels of government.

I want to talk to you today about an issue that's very personal to me: poverty. Unlike most of the players of this game, I have experienced poverty and homelessness. Labor has expanded anti-poverty initiatives alongside the Democratic Alliance, but Federalists have been slow to address the great inequalities of this state.

I want to make a special appeal to Catholics, particularly those who disagree with our party on abortion: it is paramount to our faith that we help the most vulnerable in our society. Catholics make up more than half of the population of the state. I am an Anglican, but I agree entirely with Pope Francis and the Church's mission to eradicate poverty worldwide. To recognize the dignity of every human being. To be truly pro-life, from womb to tomb.

Ask yourselves what the Federalists have done for you. Look toward a new path. Our candidate, Father Diego Florencio, knows the struggles that Puerto Ricans face as a Jesuit priest. Father Diego will always put Puerto Rico first. He will work with both parties to combat poverty head-on and fight for a society that respects life, and respects quality of life.

Thank you, San Juan. Dave bless this great state. Dave bless this great nation.

Public Statement (Peanut can count this or not)
From the "Boomhauer for Governor" campaign

Federalists continue to use scare tactics in a desperate attempt to hold on to power in Oklahoma City. One former governor in particular has been heavily critical of the Labor-DA ticket, and he tries to run against a Labor Party that does not exist.

Yes, I was the lone member of my party to vote against the assault weapons ban. The fact that many in the left - both those in office and those who aren't - were opposed is a testament to the left's division on gun control. I find it strange that he tries to have it both ways: Labor runs candidates who reflect the beliefs of their constituents. They do often divert from the national party's stances on gun control and abortion.

We ran pro-gun candidates in Texas. In Louisiana. In Pennsylvania. In Ohio. In my home state of Wyoming. In the Dakotas. In Montana. In Alaska. In Utah. All states where gun rights are supported, and as a result, Labor swept these states.

Louisiana, in particular, arguably has the most conservative Labor government. The pro-gun Speaker and the pro-life Senate Majority Leader were elected by appealing directly appealing to their constituents and their values.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: What binds Labor is our universal commitment to the poor and working men and women of Atlasia.

The people of Oklahoma will reject this desperate attempt to wage a culture war. Labor fulfills its promises. We have a plan to raise teacher pay. The Federalists cannot compete, so instead they resort to old hat social issues.

I urge the people of Oklahoma to vote for the party that understands you and shares your values. Reject the fearmongering and desperate attempts to make this election about an issue where there is already consensus in this state. Vote for the party with a plan. Vote Labor-DA up and down the ballot.

Ketchikan, Alaska1
socially-distanced, masks mandatory, livestreamed on AK Labor Website

Folks, it looks like we have one more day of campaigning. I am glad to be back here with the people of Alaska.

It is true that people are unhappy with the state of politics in Juneau. There are competing coalitions and little desire for working together to govern. And the collapse of the Green Party put the state in disarray, with a handful of Greens opting for the Liberals or the DA.

I will repeat what I've been saying on the campaign trail. Despite what some of our opponents might tell you, the Labor Party is not a monolith. The Labor Party will work with anyone or any party to achieve common goals. It is true that Labor has been in power for a long time. But the reason for that is people have seen the Labor record in Nyman and in Denver.

Labor proposals often enjoy bipartisan support. The Congress has often passed laws unanimously or with strong majorities and support from other parties. Labor has maintained an active government that is quick to respond to any threat, biological or otherwise, in a swift manner.

Governor Keenainak has been fighting for reform with a hostile legislature. He's used his executive authority to expand the Silver Alert to rural areas across the state.

The Governor and the majority of the legislature agree on critical issues, from the environment to education to healthcare to protecting the right to bear arms and expanding both closed and open-carry.

Yet the legislature stall. Good ideas are rejected by coalitions driven by egotism and obstruction.

This is not good for the people of Alaska. And I agree with them that it is time for a change: reelect Governor Keenainak and give him a mandate by electing Labor majorities that will work with him to implement these popular ideas. Governor Keenainak wants to ensure that vaccines are universally available by May. Governor Keenainak wants to expand protections for public land. Governor Keenainak wants to continue to fund education and keep tuition rates at public universities down. These are not radical ideas, but these efforts are stalled by hostility within the legislature.

The left in Alaska must put aside the politics of personality and unite to elect a progressive legislature. That includes people in the Liberal Party. That includes the Democratic Alliance. That even includes some independent-minded Federalists.

This election, vote for Linda Murkonsky. Linda Murkonsky is a 10-year Marine Corps veteran. She has flown 45 combat missions against al-Qaeda, the Taliban, and ISIS, before winning election as Mayor of Fairbanks. She's a mother, a hunter, and a progressive who will build on the gains made by the Governor. But she needs a mandate. A new legislature. A government of activists, working-class, and Indigenous people, all working towards a common goal. This election, vote Labor up and down the ballot.

For second preference, Labor officially endorses Jonathan Hall of the Liberal Party. Despite hostility in the legislature, Labor has passed several important reforms with Liberal support.

Thanks again to the great people of Alaska, for how they've treated me along the campaign trail and the kind words of support from so many of the voters. Thank you for having me in your great state once again.

Wouldn't you know it, folks, we still have one more day to campaign. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I had one more day to reach out to the people of this great nation.

Some of you know former Governor West_Midlander and I have had a less-than-subtle clash between our records and ideas. I respect former Governor West_Midlander. But he desperately tries to run against a Labor Party in this state whose members frequently cross partisan and ideological lines.

When former president Ted Bessell and I ran in February, we promised a truce on social issues: no further gun restrictions, while maintaining the status quo on existing regulations. In states like Oklahoma, we're a little different. We value our right to keep and bear arms. This is something much of Labor and the other two parties in addition to the Federalists agree on.

I have personally reached out to Labor candidates across the state who are pro-gun and pro-life. My good friend, Hank Boomhauer, is a gun owner and a staunch supporter of the right to keep and bear arms. Hank Boomhauer wants to expand open and closed-carry laws. He wants to keep abortion safe, legal, and rare by resisting ineffective 'abstinence-ony' education programs.

In other words, Hank is a man with common sense. He is a man who is devoted to this state, and will transform politics in Oklahoma City for the better.

And I'm glad to have him here with me today. Ladies and gentlemen, the next Governor of the great state of Oklahoma, Hank Boomhauer!

Anaheim, California1

Folks, it's good to be here once again with Governor Nancy Feinstein. We expect to reelect Nancy Feinstein and win big statewide, but I have visited every city and state up for election, regardless of competitiveness, so that the people know we are not a regional party. We support what is best for all Atlasians, whether they voted for us or not.

Governor Feinstein and California Labor have learned from the IRL failures of California's leadership. Instead of passing new laws that make it harder for independent contractors and freelancers to find work, we've repealed California's unnecessary licensing laws, just as we did in Nyman.

We continue to face the challenges of COVID, but Governor Feinstein, like all our governors and candidates, is determined to make COVID vaccines universally available by May.

Labor is running the great state of California with common sense. Our trifecta in government has accomplished much, but our work is far from over.

Don't take this election for granted, my friends! Get out and vote for Nancy Feinstein and your local candidates for State House and Senate!

Broken Arrow, Oklahoma1
socially-distanced, masks mandatory, livestreamed on OK Labor Website

My friends, as we conclude this month's campaign, there is one thing I want you to ask yourself: who can I trust more to protect people like me?

For the past two years, the people have constantly answered "Labor". And while one party can't take all the credit for the bipartisan legislation that's been passed since this pandemic, Labor is the party that has a record of delivering on its promises.

This month, Labor and the Democratic Alliance agreed to run on a single ticket: Hank Boomhauer for Governor, and Henry Edmondson for Lieutenant Governor.

We merged our tickets in this state because both candidates ran on similar platforms. We did it to demonstrate our willingness to work across party lines to get good things done for the people of Oklahoma.

Labor wants what's best for this state. And so do Federalists. But we are unapologetic in our efforts - most of them bipartisan - to combat this pandemic by building a safety net and a strategy to support those who've lost their jobs because of this pandemic. Our stimulus package is what kept this country from going into a depression. We gave money directly to the people, in the form of a temporary UBI in addition to unemployment benefits.

Indeed, there is much to be proud of for the Labor Party in our stride to give everyone a chance.

And in order to do that, we must invest in our schools. We must reduce class sizes. We must increase teacher pay. Four studies recently confirmed that more money for schools equals better outcomes for low-income students. Hank and Henry will fundamentally reform the state education system and funding mechanism so that every student has a chance, regardless of background.

We must also keep crime down. The little girl in Tulsa who falls asleep in class because the gun shots prevented her from falling asleep matters as much as our high honor students do.

When we invest in education, we invest in safe neighborhoods. We invest in a more prosperous economy. We invest in ourselves, as one state, rich or poor, black or white, LGBT and not, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Native Atlasians, blue collar workers, unions, and activists.

I believe in Oklahoma. Hank Boomhauer believes in Oklahoma. Henry Edmondson believes in Oklahoma. And they have a plan to reform this great state from the bottom-up.

And with that, I officially conclude my March tour. It has been an honor meeting with Atlasians of different backgrounds and stories. People who support progressive goals. People who might not agree with us on a few issues but want a more prosperous state and equal opportunities to all.

Hank, Henry, and Oklahoma Labor will carry the proud tradition of consensus-building. That is how you run a government. That is how we accomplish things for the people.

Thank you and Dave bless you all Dave bless the state of Oklahoma! And Dave bless the Republic of Atlasia!

And now for the final time, I proudly introduce you to the next Governor of Oklahoma: Hank Boomhauer!

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
drive-in mega-rally held at Oklahoma City Airport with social distancing and mask mandate enforced, streamed live on OK Labor Website and televised on local news networks

Thank you, Mr. Vice President, for that kind introduction.

My friends, this is a critical time for Oklahoma. It is imperative that we elect candidates with the right ideas, and the right temperament, to lead the state forward.

Governor West_Midlander has been running his campaign in this state on his own alternative facts. Unlike the incumbent Federalist government, Labor has a plan to fix our broken education system as we begin to reopen our schools. To vaccinate our teachers. To raise pay for teachers. To reduce class sizes. To directly aid schools and communities where students fall through the cracks.

Hearing from the Federalists, you wouldn't know about any of this. The former Governor accuses us of misrepresenting the Federalist Party's positions while distorting the Oklahoma Labor Party to be the party that he wants to run against, and not the one he actually is running against.

I have long been consistent in my support for gun rights, and I also recognize that gun control is more popular in some states than others. The Oklahoma Labor Party didn't just change overnight; it was built as a party that supports working-class values and rejects petty culture war politics.

And this is not unique to Oklahoma. Labor governments in rural and culturally conservative states have spent their term addressing kitchen table issues and bringing people together by working across the aisle.

I can emphatically say that the Labor Party is not just the party of urban voters or nonwhite voters. We are the consensus party, and we've led Atlasia through this pandemic while saving the economy from a depression. That's what the people care about.

We're going to diversify Oklahoma's energy economy by investing in renewables, particularly wind and solar. We will be stewards of this environment, but whether a person works with fossil fuels or renewables, their economic security matters. Labor will never renege on that promise.

And that is what this election really comes down to: trust, and security. Security for the hardworking men and women of Oklahoma. Security for our neighborhoods. Security for our immigrant communities. Security for Native Atlasians, and security from racist anti-Asian hate speech and violence that we've seen far too much of over the last year.

Hank Boomhauer and Henry Edmondson share that vision for a stronger Oklahoma. Read my lips: a Labor-DA government is a government that will be accountable to all Oklahomans.

Now, I would like to introduce you to our next speaker, Frémont Senator FalterinArc. FalterinArc succeeded me in the Senate and has been a leading voice in Congress for expanding education opportunities and protecting civil liberties, and I'm so glad to have him with us here today.

Fairfield, Iowa1
socially-distanced event, livestreamed on IA Labor Website

Hello, Fairfield!

As I abandon my campaign for House, I am returning to the campaign trail to recruit and endorse great candidates for the Iowa Legislature. Here I have with me, Mary Ann Wilson, candidate for statehouse, and Ron Hogg, candidate for state senate. Mary Ann Wilson is a well-respected writer here, who wants to build our politics to be a pro-environment, pro-people consensus. My friend, Ron, is a humble farmer. He and Mary Ann share similar values, and these are are the values of Fairfield - which, I must say, is my favorite city in the state.

One of Labor's main priorities in government will be adaptation in the growing tech economy. We will invest in renewable energy, and we will aid new businesses that will hire STEM students. In this way, Iowa will retain its young people who have been fleeing the state. The "Silicon Prairie" plan will diversify Iowa's economy and make the state a leader in more than corn production.

Labor has repeated this plan with great success in all our agriculture-heavy states where both the rural and urban populations have been depleting. The Midwest needs a comeback, and Labor's leadership in Frémont has demonstrated our ability to lead the Midwest in a new direction.

The Federalists continue to adopt the same failed strategy that cost them a reliably conservative state in March: distraction from kitchen table issues in favor of culture wars, baseless accusations that we want to implement teaching of Critical Race Theory and indoctrination of our nation's students. The Federalist Southern Governor went to North Dakota to slam our First Minister for vetoing the abortion gag law - a law which the people of North Dakota and the Commonwealth soundly rejected in the referendum.

Federalists also use baseless and false accusations that Labor is not funding pensions, based on weak evidence that runs contrary to Frémont's budgeting practices. It is absurd to suggest, for example, that the people of Fairfield are paying too much in taxes to fund their own pensions, when individual state taxation was abolished and the power to tax and spend was fully transferred to Denver.

The Silicon Prairie plan will invest our state funds to building a new infrastructure for the state economy. That is Labor's plan for Iowa.

Vote for the party that has a plan, and runs on that plan as opposed to falsehoods and culture wars. Vote for the party that will lead Iowa to a new generation. Vote for Labor.

TV and Radio Ad To Air Across Iowa
"Shrinking"
Paid for by the Labor Governors Association

An elderly couple is sitting across a kitchen table, where the woman is reading a newspaper.

WOMAN: Sad to see, isn't it?

MAN: What's that?

A number of headlines and their citations roll across the screen, pointing to a record of rising unemployment and poor long-term prospects for the state economy.

WOMAN: The kids just aren't staying here anymore. They have bigger fish to fry out in Texas and Florida.

MAN: Evan's leave definitely hurt, but I can't blame him. It's just not the same economy you and I had growing up here.

WOMAN: And should it surprise anyone? Our schools and public universities are not competing with other states to give our students the tools to be successful in the 21st century!

MAN: Governor Engle has also sided with Big Tech companies like Amazon in their successful fight against unionization in other states.

WOMAN: I voted for Governor Engle last time, but you know, Harry, I think the "Main Street" Federalists have forgotten about shrinking towns like ours. I'm voting for Labor from the governorship on down.

BACKGROUND VOICE: I'm Ed Finkenhauer and I approve this message.

Bondurant, Iowa1
socially-distanced event, livestreamed on IA Labor Website

I'm glad to be here with Ed Finkenhauer, the Labor Party's candidate for Governor, and Melissa Scholtz, Labor's candidate for Lieutenant Governor.

Ed and Melissa both have strong backgrounds in the private sector. Ed founded a farm that was established on the principles of ethics toward animals and the environment, and over time it has grown to be the largest employer in the city of Dubuque. Melissa worked with the Atlasian Department of Agriculture under various Labor administrations before running for State Senate last year.

Both understand the importance of business, and both are also lifelong supporters of unions. Unlike the giants within tech, Ed used tech to utilize efficiency and pay his workers a living wage. He has based much of his wealth on his hometown of Des Moines right across from us, and he knows how to make Iowa competitive in the jobs market once again.

Finkhenhauer Farms has also donated to efforts to unionize workers working for tech giants in the state, particulalrly here in Boundurant where an Amazon fulfillment sector was recently opened last year. As the unions recover from the loss on the ballot to unionize in the town of Bessemer, Alabama, Bondurant must have a state government that ensures labor policies are enforced. And should these workers desire to unionize, they ought to be allowed to without pressure corporate higher-ups.

What has the Federalist Party done to advance goals that most every other state in the Commonwealth under Labor governance and in Denver? Governor Engle may bag about the vaccine program, but this initiative was championed by our outgoing Speaker Siren and enacted First Minister Truman.

Here in Iowa, see an interesting spit in the controlling Federalist Party: roughly are split into what we like to call "the Louisville Thunder wing", and in the other what we like to call "the Joseph Cao wing". Unfortunately for the people of Iowa, the local and minstream news has reported far more on these cleaves between party factions. The Federalists themselves have little to brag about, because intra-partisan bickering has split the Iowa Federalists into something of a civil war.

Labor has embraced its role as a big tent party. We acquiesce not to culture wars that two Southern Federalist governors try to bait us toward, which at the end of the day serves to distract from the Federalists' lack of a record in the state.

Labor will expand opportunities for Iowa to become competitive again and economically diverse. We will build a new economy based on old labor principles: the right to a living wage and, if a workforce sees it necessary, fair and free elections to organize unions for benefits like our grandparents and great-grandparents enjoyed.

Vote for Ed Finkenhauer and Melissa Scholtz this weekend: the term that understands Iowa business needs, and will put Iowa workers first.

Ames, Iowa Farm Forum
socially-distanced event, livestreamed on IA Labor Website

Good morning to the people of Ames, Iowa!

I'm your host, Scott. Over the years of served various capacities in the Commonwealth, including as your First Minister and Atlasian Senator.

Here I am with three very important people today: Ed Finkenheauer, businessman and Labor's nominee for governor, Dan Harkin, former Mayor of Ames and candidate for State Senate, and Justin Quinn, a public defense attorney and candidate for State House.

We're going to pass the mic around to our guests, who are all wearing masks.

Highlights from the forum

Audience member #1: Mr. Finkenhauer, what is your plan to sustain Iowa's status as a leader in agriculture?

Ed Finkenhauer: We need a competitive tax code to help Iowa's small farms, and given my business background, I would also like to incentivize farmers, both large and small, to adopt more environmentally friendly and humane practices for livestock. It is no coincidence that Finkenhauer Farms is a leading agriculture producer throughout the country under my business leadership, and I will lead other businesses in the agriculture industry to adopt similar policies by passing tax credits and requiring the humane treatment of animals.

Audience member #2: How will Labor address the issue of funding pensions when Denver has failed on this issue? How much will our taxes go up?

Dan Harkin: Unfortunately, there's been no shortage of misconceptions this campaign. Under a Labor government, Iowans will pay no more in tax than they do today. In simple terms, the GM report was wrong and contradicted by simple evidence. Iowa Labor will keep taxes low in this region while reinvesting in education as well as small and local business.

Audience member #3: How will Labor invest its tax dollars from Denver going forward?

Justin Quinn: We have a lot of money invested by Denver and Nyman sitting in state reserves. That gives us plenty of flexibility to boost the small businesses that were lost in the pandemic, and it is because of Labor that was have these funds available. As Mayor Harkin alluded to, the state is going to keep taxes low and inject stimulus funds from Des Moines. So we're not too very worried about the budget.

Audience member #4: How will Labor respond to addressing enforcing our immigration laws, and keeping Atlasian jobs in Atlasian hands here in the state?

Ed Finkenhauer: I'm glad you asked that question. It's not a question that comes up nearly enough in Iowa, but it is on the minds of many voters. Look. What I'm going to tell you is the truth: if all of Iowa's undocumented immigrants were deported tomorrow, the cost of food would skyrocket. Now we certainly don't believe that Big Agriculture should be writing our immigration laws, but nor we can ignore the role that immigrants play in a major state industry. We've seen a rise in the number of hate crimes, precisely against Asians, across the nation. As a state, we must come together in rejecting this rise in hatred and violence. We can only build our way out of this pandemic as one state, and that certainly includes law-abiding immigrants who keep our agriculture economy afloat.

Thank you to One Iowa for having me here today!

You know, Iowa has a special place in history for the future of LGBT Atlasians. Its real life equivalent was one of the first states to legalize same-sex marriage. State Senator, Zach Wahl, is a proud Labor State Senator who is living testament to the fact that same-sex couples can be and are wonderful parents.

Iowans are forward-thinkers, and we need a forward-thinking legislature to aid Governor Finkenhauer in protecting LGBT state workers. The state needs its own Equality Act, no doubt. And Iowa Labor will recommit our state's welcoming reputation to people regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

I will now let our candidate for Lieutenant Governor, Melissa Scholtz, as well as candidate for statehouse Linda Wing and candidate for state state, our first transgender candidate for state legislature, River Beckley-Cook.

Winterset, Iowa1
socially-distanced event, livestreamed on IA Labor Website

My tour with Ed Finkehhauer continues in Madison County: one of Iowa's most popular tourist destinations, for none other than the short romance novella The Bridges of Madison County. There are truly few other bridges throughout this state and country like there are here. But even something as simple yet beautiful as covered bridges put this county on the map in a state that is not generally known for tourism.

There is much more to Iowa than simply farms, although we take great pride in our reputation as the agriculture center of the Republic of Atlasia. But landmarks like these covered bridges are worth conserving, for the culture and character of the state. And they are landmarks that must be preserved, regardless of how much local land is used for commerce. Although such a symbolic location like Madison County defines the simple life and character of the state.

And while I can understand the skepticism of those who oppose investing in tourism, I say to those that nothing must be off the table. It certainly won't be in the government's economic diversification plan for Iowa, in the form of the Silicon Prairie and appeal to tech giants to share their wealth with Middle Atlasia.

For a robust with as robust an education system in Atlasia, we have the power to redefine our economy. Our scenic byways speak for themselves, and it is through tourism that we may attract future residents to the state of Iowa. People who move to our state do so because seek the benefits of small-town living across civilization. And a strong, competitive Iowa will rebuild the stage's image as the capital of the nation's breadbasket.

Dubuque, Iowa1
socially-distanced event, livestreamed on IA Labor Website

Hello, Dubuque. I've spent a great afternoon in this city, directly speaking to Iowans about the issues facing them.

But I was personally touched by the story of one resident, a woman who lost her seventeen-year-old son towards the end of the year to an opioid overdose. The first thing that came to my mind for me was the loss of my mother last year, who also died of drug overdose. She explained how over the last couple years, hope for recovery became a lost cause for them. The pandemic, especially, prevented this woman and her family from giving their son the help he needed.

This story reminds me that COVID-19 has affected so many more lives indirectly. While the shutdown of our economy and most of our public services was necessary to combat the virus, these delays in services have had a lasting impact on many Iowans, particularly those who are low-income.

While efforts by the regional and federal governments to improve access to mental health and addiction treatment have improved under Labor leadership, we have a lot more work to do in this field as we slowly transition back to a pre-pandemic routine.

Part of that work is improving local access to drug rehabilitation services, and expanding them so that former addicts, and especially those with criminal records, can have a wider avenue to community college or university, to employment opportunities, to something that will give them a higher purpose in life.

The opioid epidemic has ravaged urban and rural communities throughout the state, and the various underlying roots must be addressed. Labor has a strategy for a post-pandemic Iowa that will help the least of us, and it starts by helping one community at a time and better facilitate communications between local governments and community institutions and those who are willing to put in the work and time to kick their addiction.

This is definitely an issue where all parties can find common ground. But if Ed Finkenhauer is your governor next month, the people of Iowa will have a First Lady whose mission will be to combat addiction head-on. As a lifelong substance abuse counselor in the state, Dr. Lynn Finkenhauer knows what needs to change in order to build a more responsive government. She also has a great record of advising on drug policy reform, and she has been heralded for her expertise in matters of counseling.

Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like you to welcome your next First Lady of the state of Iowa, Dr. Lynn Finkenhauer.

Lowell, Massachusetts1
socially-distanced event, livestreamed on MA Labor Website

Good evening, Lowell! It's great to be here with Governor Murphy before Lowell today, after a full day in the Hawkeye State back in my home region.

Massachusetts is a state with much to be proud of, and Lowell is a cultural and historical hotbed to the history of your state. This is, after all, the home of the great Jack Kerouac: one of the founding fathers of the Beat literary movement. The Bay State is the education capital of the country. Labor unions may operate without the hindrance of hostile governments against public employees. It is a safe state and one of the best to raise a family. And watching from across the country, I'm happy with what my former region has accomplished recently, namely eliminating the convoluted Philadelphia Plan.

Massachusetts has a prominent role in the history of universal healthcare in Atlasia. It was the first state to adopt a universal healthcare law, and this would become the impetus for the national debate. And now we have AtlasCare: a consolidation of federal public programs with a robust public option. Both Lincoln and Frémont have adopted AtlasCare as the basis for their healthcare programs. It is only thanks to a century of labor and progressive activism, and real action by those who campaigned on universal healthcare, that we have universal healthcare today.

It is a law that we've seen both Laborites and Federalists take credit for, and while a number of people from both parties were involved in its making, I insisted for a public plan that will be accessible to all Atlasians. In Frémont, we retained private coverage but insisted that all insurance be strictly nonprofit.

There has never been a bigger advocate for public healthcare in Atlasia and Labor, and that is why people support Labor. We promised universal healthcare. We promised universal healthcare that was not only accessible, but fiscally viable. And we delivered. And we will resist any attempts to cut public healthcare, especially in the midst of a pandemic.

Labor will continue to coordinate COVID-19 vaccine availability and deliver on making them universally accessible after this month.

Healthcare is a capital issue to Labor, and it's a capital issue for the people of Massachusetts. Vote for the party that has championed this issue since the days of one (coincidentally named) President Harry S Truman! Reelect Conor Murphy, and return him to office with strong Labor majorities in the state House and Senate!

Chinatown, Los Angeles1
socially-distanced event, livestreamed on CA Labor Website

Good evening, Los Angeles!

Glad to be here with you all today alongside Mayor Earvin Johnson. You know, Mayor Johnson has been instrumental as a partner to Denver as well as Nyman in rolling out Frémont's vaccine distribution program and making Los Angeles into a city green. I was glad to meet the members of city hall with Mayor Johnson and discuss the city's upcoming agenda.

It's an agenda to lead and to rebuild Los Angeles in the post-pandemic economy, and to aid small business owners in reclaiming their livelihood. The hospitality industry in particular has taken a great hit from the pandemic, and Asian Atlasians face, in addition to these losses, an unprecedented rise in hate crimes.

We're not talking about this issue today to be politically correct or divisive. We're talking about this because it is a problem that directly affects Asian Atlasians in cities like Los Angeles. Xenophobic and racist crimes have no place anywhere in Atlasia, but those affected by hate crimes must have full confidence in law enforcement: that law enforcement will be responsive as well as accountable to those they have sworn to protect.

Mayor Johnson is working directly with civil rights groups and Chinese-Atlasian business owners to what many in the area rightly identify as a two-fold problem: that of personal and economic security. This summer, travel will increase and under the leadership of the Mayor, great historic neighborhoods like Chinatown will benefit most. Restaurants and family businesses that barely weathered the pandemic will prosper once again.

Thank you, Los Angeles. Please welcome your mayor, Earvin Johnson.

Davenport, Iowa1
socially-distanced event, livestreamed on IA Labor Website

Good evening! It's great to be here in Davenport, a city located approximately halfway between Des Moines and Chicago, right along the Mississippi River which separates Iowa from Lincoln and the eastern half of the Midwest.

I chose Davenport specifically to address multiple elephants in the room that the current Federalist government has simply done nothing about. The first issue very much pertains to the city of Davenport itself, for this is the largest city located across the Mississippi not to have erected flood walls. This decision is in part deliberate; the people of Davenport love to experience the Mississippi firsthand. But the lack of any barriers between the river and the city cost local businesses $30 million in revenue in 2019.

Experts have warned us for years that climate change would result in more floodings by the Mississippi River, and it has caused the people of Davenport to reevaluate its once-cherished relationship with the river. And part of investing in a green economy must include erecting a wall or barrier for areas most vulnerable to floods, otherwise local costs will skyrocket as experts anticipate future damage.

No doubt, hard choices will have to be made going forward. For the stability and safety of Davenport residents and local businesses, infrastructure must be a priority for the next Iowa government.

I would now like to transition to another issue for which we've heard little discussion, and seen little action, from Governor Engle and the legislature: Iowa's water quality problem. This problem essentially boils down to elevated levels of stream nitrate pollution. When the amount of nitrogen which makes its way to fields exceeds crop needs, that excess can find an easy pathway to the stream network, thereby impairing drinking water, catalyzing nuisance and harmful algae blooms, and killing off part of the Gulf of Mexico when the Mississippi River unloads Iowa's environmental baggage every summer.

In order to combat this problem, we're going to limit the amount of nitrogen fertilizer that farmers can apply to crops. This is a major contributor to the state's water pollution crisis, and while Labor supports Iowa's agricultural sector, and has a sterling record in Denver to prove it, we simply cannot afford to give farmers license to apply however much fertilizer they want or feel they need at the expense of the taxpayer, who subsidizes these practices by paying for practices to trap the excess at the field's edge with wetlands or bioreactors.

I will also note that most family farmers do not bear the blame for this crisis, and yet they are forced to operate in a system that most of them had no part in creating and feel powerless to change.

But better water quality can only benefit all Iowans. And it will only happen if the voters this Sunday demand it, by electing some new people up and down the ballot. Vote for people like your great mayor, Dennis Train, who's running to become the next State Senator from the eleventh district based in Davenport.

And don't forget to elect Ed Finkenhauer and Melissa Scholtz as your next Governor and Lieutenant Governor. No doubt, Iowa needs a clean slate in Des Moines.

The solutions are there. Now is time for action.

Sheldon, Iowa1
socially-distanced event, livestreamed on IA Labor Website

Good evening, Sheldon!

Iowa is a nationwide leader in wind energy, and that's in no small part to places like O'Brien County, which have one of the largest wind farms in the state. This was made possible by legislation written by a former Member of Parliament, one Vice President OBD, which will provide $50 million in subsidies over the next ten years in wind power.

Needless to say, I'm glad that there was a broad consensus in Iowa to accept these funds. And employment was provided by none other than my 21st Century Civilian Conservation Corps Act that the President signed in early March, which revived a New Deal-era public works program. These workers were each paid living wages, and the federal spending on wages enabled Iowa to invest more directly in wind energy.

Time and time again, Labor delivers on policy. And it is chiefly because of Labor that we are living in what I like to call "the New New Deal era". These are Labor policies authored by the party and supported across the aisle - even by those like the Southern Governor who insists that Labor has no ideas.

Ed Finkenhauer wants a New Deal for Iowa: one that will modernize the economy, continue to expand the green industry, develop and modernize new infrastructure, and restore our lakes and streams so that our drinking water is safe.

In our quest to retake the legislature, I have with me Jack Webb, a wind industry financier and Viv Eastman, a local Native American rights activist. They are running against two Federalist incumbents in the Senate and House, respectively, and I'm pleased to have them here today.

I'm going to pass the mic on to Viv. Thank you, Sheldon!

Cedar Rapids, Iowa1
socially-distanced event, livestreamed on IA Labor Website

Hello, Cedar Rapids! As the election begins tomorrow, I know you are all eagerly anticipating casting your vote - your vote for the party that knows Iowa. Over the course of this campaign, Federalist have not sent a single surrogate from within the region to campaign for Governor Engle. And perhaps it's best they don't, because the Governor has little to take credit for. Iowa prospers today, and that is because of the aid we've given to small farmers investments in infrastructure.

I'm proud to be from Frémont. I am beyond proud of our Commonwealth's leadership, from First Minister Truman to Speaker Siren to MP Batista and so many others. Even Iowa's own RFayette, a prominent conservative Federalist, worked with the First Minister to reform testing in public education, invest in school lunches and universal preschool, and pass Frémont's local living wage.

There's no doubt that Frémont is the nation's capital of progressive policies, in the mold of FDR and the New Deal. But we are also a pragmatic region. We balance our budgets. We removed the tax burden for the vast majority of Iowans and Frémonters. We created a healthcare system that puts patients first: a public option made available to all, as well as private companies that are non-profit. That means affordable healthcare and more choices for patients. And we didn't have to raise your taxes to pay for it.

But there are still issues to be addressed. The other day I was in Davenport, along the Mississippi River, lamenting the flood damage and water pollution that has ravaged communities.

But it's not just 'river cities' like Davenport with serious food risks and liabilities. Many of us in Cedar Rapids remember the 2008 flood that ravaged eastern Iowa and catchments of nearby rivers and forks. The result of this month-long flood was $6 billion in property damage. The flood was even called "Iowa's Katrina", although thankfully there were zero reported deaths.

The lesson we learned from this is that even landlocked states here in the Midwest are as vulnerable to floodings as coastal cities.

And even as late as 2013 - five years after the Iowa floodings - residents continued to struggle to adapt to this "new normal".

But this is Iowa, and we don't cower in the face of adversity. And what we need is a government that understands the needs of the people of Iowa, not as a satellite for 'regional parties' that don't know you.

Tomorrow, elect Ed Finkenhauer and give him a huge mandate in the Iowa legislature. Let's build on the tradition of Franklin Roosevelt and Lyndon Johnson by directly investing in the people. We'll protect free speech. We'll protect religious freedom. We'll protect the right to keep and bear arms. And always will we listen to our constituents to make Iowa a better place to raise a family and start a business.

It's time for a New New Deal for Iowa! And it's time for a new government of, by, and for The People.
