I fixed my wrap for today and I threw in something else - a banana.  Now, I've got a healthier wrap, vegetable (carrots) and a fruit (banana).  I'll post a pic at lunch if I can remember.

I made it to work.  I put my medicine in the car last night so I could make sure they came with me to work.  I've still got a headache, so I'm going to down some Excedrin and get the day started.

My AutoCAD software is still crashing, so I'm having to uninstall and re-install the program.  I'll be out of commission for a while...

Isn't this the company's software?

Yes, although after further review it may have been a corrupted file causing the crashes.  The same file crashed two of my coworkers, but other files had not.  Of course, this revelation comes AFTER my AutoCAD is already uninstalled.  Doh!!!

5 cookies is 450 calories according to their website.

According to the label HD posted, it would be a little over 200.

I hope bushie is telling the truth and this isn't another story he made up to get us off his back. Since all of this requires effort and going to the store alone to shop, I'm worried this is just a farce, but I hope I'm wrong.

I hope we see a picture of it today too.

I'm not sure how to post it to the forum using my phone, so I'll post it on FB and tag you and Grumps and you can post it on here for every one's verification.

Grandma told me that she'll fix more vegetables tonight and future nights so we can eat at least somewhat better in the evenings, too.

I posted my meal on FB, just waiting on someone to bring it over here.  It was quite tasty.

Praise God! He's actually doing it!

Now the questions are

1.  Will he stick with it?

2.  Will he work out?

1. That's my plan

2. Baby steps.  Let me get used to one change at a time.

LOL, of course there is a soda.

My meals are usually pretty simple. For breakfast, I have a cup of special k with some sliced banana, and a cup and a half of grapes after. For a snack, I'll have some celery. Lunch is a black bean boca patty on a sandwich thin with some low fat cheddar, and carrots to go with it. Mid-day snack is either coco almonds, or some more grapes. Dinner tonight is an asian style fried rice with brown rice, with some egg whites, and FILLED with fresh veggies that I got from the store.

At no point today, did I drink any thing other than a cup of tea in the morning (no cream or sugar..not a diet thing, just hate them in my tea) and my water.

What's wrong with the pop?  You gloss over a healthy meal and focus on the pop, which has no calories on its own?  That's pretty arrogant.

What about your other meals and snacks?

For breakfast I generally have two scrambled eggs, a couple slices of bacon, and two slices of wheat toast and orange juice to drink.

For dinner tonight, I had two 3 oz. patties of chicken fried steak, green beans, and a baked potato and a Diet Dr Pepper.

I usually don't have snacks.

Just because there are no calories, doesn't make it good. It dehydrates you.. it makes you hungrier, and just adds crap to your system that you shouldn't' be having. It's pretty arrogant of you to assume that just because it is diet, that it is good for you.l

What do you expect me to drink when there is no water, except for tap water, in the break room?

You could bring a bottle of water with you to work. You could bring a thermos of tea.

How is there nothing but tap water? What kind of horrid sweatshop do you work at?

What I need to do is get one of those 32 oz. jugs like you would get at a hospital and put water in it.  There is a water cooler, but I've never used it and never seen anybody else use it, either.  I retract my tap water only statement.  There are definitely no bottles of water in the vending machine.

I don't think they refill the machine very often, because right now all the regular pop is gone except for cans of Pepsi and Mountain Dew.  All the bottles are diet drinks like DDP, Diet Coke, and Coke Zero.  There are a few energy drinks and a couple orange juice and apple juice bottles, but mainly diet bottles prevail.

I'm fine with diet soda. I drink it all the time, especially diet cokes, man, I can't give those up.

Just cut out the carbs, all of them, no bread, potatoes, pasta, rice, sugar. Just do it. You'll lose weight. I rarely eat bread/potatoes or many carbs aside from a few things. It's just my normal diet now. I can't tell you the last time I had a sandwich or a bowl of pasta, although I still have pizza on occasion, and pie around the holiday season, but it's the holidays, and I'm not a fat, so I can do it sometimes.

I'm not going to completely cut out the carbs.  I think I read somewhere that carbs are a good source of energy.  I definitely don't want too many carbs, but I need some carbs.

...the hell? I actually waved my arms around in exasperation. Someone just gave me a look. But, I mean, seriously? What? How is this at all compatible with your melange of religious "beliefs"? And in your grandmother's house?

I mean, it's a bit different with my grandmother living on another continent and whatnot, but I could never conceive of watching pornographic material in my grandmother's house, particularly if said aged grandmother cooked and cleaned for me. Then again, I struggle to conceive either of the former, or the latter, which seems even more morally repugnant.

You are a despicable human being, I think I it is safe to say. No one, those "relations" included, should be having an 89 (?) year-old woman regularly cook and clean after them. Maybe it's an Ethiopian thing (the Ghanaians, at least according to my father, prefer to spend heavily on their elderly after their deaths), but I can hardly think of anything more vile and base than that. I'd rather starve than be in such a position.

Easy there, tiger!

bushie, how much do you spend eating out per month?  it has to be $300-400.

Since I've been with my grandmother, I only eat out maybe twice a week, so maybe $75? Maybe $100 if I get real ambitious.  Still too much, but not near the $300 you mentioned.
