I like Pence and think he would do rather well in the primaries and maybe even the general.  I agree with the dark-horse speculation.  I do hope he runs.

His narrow win for the Governor's race in Indiana suggests that he may not play well nationwide. I believe he also had a very conservative voting record while he was in the House.

Wouldn't a conservative voting record be of benefit in the primaries?  It may be of little benefit in the general, but the primaries are where the bases come out, are they not?
