Well, it's been an interesting day to say the least.  Our air conditioner sprung a massive leak, so we had to spend all day cleaning everything up and do some rearranging.  We are tired!  I had to postpone the Bricktown Gospel Sharing tonight as I'm just way too tired.

Oh, I've worked it in many times, believe me.  I know exactly what its like.  Not to mention, this is a cool summer.  All the rain has kept the temperatures way down this summer compared to the last two summers.  This date last year, we were a whopping 113.  Today, we're a feeble 96.

Some of you may know, but for those who don't, in June before I left for Africa, I started a campaign to get myself out of debt initially with Mom and Dad's help, so I will be ready to go to Africa at any time.  The first milestone on that campaign has already passed.  I have paid one bill off completely and am starting the snowball onto the second bill!  I should have that paid off by next spring!  It’s going to take about 3 years to get completely out of debt, but it can be done, even by moving and getting an apartment in Kansas City next summer.  The purpose of getting out of debt is so I can go to Africa a whole lot easier.

Bushie we all want you to get a new lady, and yet you're contemplating never having sex again???

Personally, I would like to get a new lady at some point, but more and more I'm thinking God has me living a life of celibacy to make it much easier to get to Kenya.  Being debt free and single are priceless advantages to moving overseas comfortably.  Yes, Kenya is still very much alive.  I'm taking steps NOW to prepare for it.

Absolutely not.  I am allowed to look for love without becoming immediately engaged.  As in all areas of life, I have to keep my relationship with my Heavenly Father number one.  That goes above any earthly relationships including spouse, parents, children, friends, etc.

I'm not packing, but going to school is preparation because I plan to use the CAD skills in Kenya in some capacity.  Getting out of debt is preparation because its hard to move overseas with financial baggage.  When I get out of debt, it will be so much easier to raise the funds to make the move.

I'm going to try to sneak in a Christmas Tree in my bedroom in October, although the family Christmas Tree won't be put up until the weekend before Thanksgiving.

You also seem to "struggle" a lot without ever making progress.  You seem to blame everything on your "struggles" without ever acknowledging that you need professional help.  Yes, God can fix everything, but sometimes he fixes things through professionals.

I have made a lot of progress with the addiction.  I don't have the desires as strongly anymore.  I only look at it maybe for a few minutes each week, and even that is dwindling.  It used to be every day.

Bushie, let me ask you a serious question.  You post here and on Facebook that you got out of debt for one of your loans or cards. We know your mom and dad help you and we call you out on it here when you omit those things. Do you think it's very fair to omit public praise to your mom and dad for all they've done for you on your Facebook account?  In essence you are lying by omission and your friends just simply accept what you say. Your parents have changed their whole lives around to accommodate you and I think you should acknowledge that on occasion and not just here when we force it out of you.  It's better not to say anything at all than to take full credit for things you don't deserve full credit for.  Just think about that.

That's a fair point.  I do like to acknowledge their help, although I didn't with that post.  The fact is we both deserve credit.  Mom deserves the lion share of the credit for supplying the money, and I deserve a little bit for combing through my budget with a fine toothed comb, telling her how much I need, and then distributing that money to the appropriate bills and not misusing their money like i have done before.  That was my mistake yesterday, but my friends know the position I'm in, and they know Mom is helping me out.  Thank you for your post.

Wow, Jeff, if that's not egotistical to the core, then nothing is.  I don't know why I said something this stupid!  Yes, I believe that going overseas is the right thing for me and that will not change, but to go so far as to say nobody has the right to question that and saying they're stupid is ridiculous and hateful.

I apologize, Inks.  The post was directed at you, but I'm taking it back (if possible).  I was flustered last night, and it came out.

At any rate, I wasn't feeling well this evening, so I stayed home from worship tonight.  I stayed home to make sure my headache eases up before class starts tomorrow.  Over the course of the next 9 1/2 months, I will have 10 different courses under the CAD-Mechanical Umbrella.  My first course which I will begin tomorrow is Fundamentals of Computer Aided Drafting & Design.  It will be 120 hours.  If I stay on pace, I get 6 hours every day, 30 hours every week.  So, this first course will be finished on August 30.  I can work ahead if I want as there is no minimum time I have to stay in class.  For my loan, I just have to finish the entire program by December 2014, but if I stay on pace, I will be finished on Wednesday, May 14, 2014.
