Senator Price responds following a recording of Lisa Wilkinson comparing Jacinta Price's pre-selection to "hiring a black cleaner".

A bit below the belt. Lisa is also under pressure for comments made about the Brittany Higgins case.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-06-15/thorpe-men-in-parliament-made-her-feel-unsafe/102481814

"When I started I was a new senator. As all women who have walked the corridors of this building know, it is not a safe place," Senator Thorpe told the senate in an emotional statement.

"You are often alone in long corridors with no windows, and in stairwells hidden from view, where there are no cameras."

A sad outcome for a hard working Australian Politician:

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-06-29/key-findings-icac-report-gladys-berejiklian-daryl-maguire/102541084

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-06-30/gladys-berejiklian-and-the-icac-tapes/101488100

Darryl Maguire was clearly engaging in corrupt conduct.

Gladys was entangled in his web through some form of romantic delusion of having a partner.

Anybody who comments on this story ends up in Court.

There are currently two men facing prosecution over harassing Britney online. Her fiance is being sought in relation to legal proceedings as has she.

Rockingham by-election results are in, Labor’s primary vote down 33%… from 82% to 49% lol. Liberals however didn’t reap the benefits, instead an ex-Labor local councillor (the usual pre-selection dispute) drew near level with the Liberals and looks to comfortably leapfrog them on preferences. It’ll be a few days till counts are realigned, but the rough estimates are Labor 59% 2pp.

What are the predictions now on Albanese for the polls in the next Federal elections?

He has clearly ignored the advice to just put the referendum to only involve the 'recognition of Aboriginals as first nations people' in the Constitution.

Albanese says he "had a duty" like some weird religious motive.

The guy is living in la-la land.

Albanese ended his speech with a Churchill quote, and then fled like an Italian Cruise Ship Captain.

The pointlessly fumbled yes campaign does not make me feel confident that Labor knows how to appeal to everyday voters under their current leadership. If the Coalition and others can find an even illusionary cogent appeal to the public, they could easily win against this kind of incompetence. They saw the right weaknesses and took advantage of them. I really feel awful for first peoples right now. They are suffering a new undeniable public rejection. This government has somehow achieved precisely the opposite of its own short term policy goal with this referendum.

It had nothing to do with Aboriginals.

It appealed to inner city elites in $4M real estate suburbs where no Aboriginals live. This was how those people imagined Aboriginal people to be (to alleviate their wealth guilt).

As defined by regional Australians, it was "a crock of sh$t" and now it was nothing more than pure woke fantasy.

30% of Aboriginal voted against it.

One can fix the indigeous issues (child sexual abuse, alcoholism, rampant corruption) using normal political process.....it's called hard work.

This reads like someone with a grudge trying to shoehorn as much loathing as possible into a post. It is your own (sad, bitter) opinion disguised as analysis. It is also poor analysis. You use numbers that directly contradict your own point, and make vague references to the opinions of no one in particular. You finish it off by using horrible crimes as a way to colour an entire disadvantaged group of people, then say they are lazy. It left a trail on my screen as I scrolled down, the distinct kind of slick mucous left by the needling little worms usually found eating through the brains of the most pitiable Americans.

It's possible though that if you contact your GP you may be eligible to receive your 10. Best of luck!

No.

It's a fairly well-shared opinion amongst most Australians.....evidenced by Saturday's result.

Some electorates near Perth voted 70-75% NO. Some towns voted 80% NO.

https://www.skynews.com.au/australia-news/voice-to-parliament/andrew-bolt-calls-for-anthony-albanese-to-step-down-as-pm-after-voice-failure/video/ff6683195b2d9b53af4aedb76d41d520

A fellow West Australian told me he thought it was a "crock of sh#t". It was hard to find YES voters on Saturday, that's for sure.

The result speaks for itself.

Someone is going to get hurt in 2025. Someone may even be killed.

Most likely by the people who went to the Sydney Opera House and chanted “gas the Jews”.

And that goes to show how little you know of Australia

Indeed. Australia is a country where the most right wing Prime Minister it has ever had was able to address a crowd of gun nuts and tell them what a load of idiots they were and then subsequently pass legalisation that severely cracked down on guns. It is not the United States.

Tony Abbott says hi Smiley

Tony Abbott, the second greatest Prime Minister our country has had after John Howard.

John Howard was a gifted Australian and his pedigree was clear at age 16.

From Jacinta Price this morning.

"This has really shaken me.

The footage of a 16-year-old girl being viciously beaten up by ten other women on the streets of Alice Springs is shocking because this sort of mob violence on our streets is always unacceptable.

It's the type of horrible behaviour I've been speaking out about for years and it's unfortunately becoming the norm in places like Alice Springs.

But what's more shocking is that the women in this clip are Warlpiri, I am Warlpiri; and I am told this was a case of traditional cultural payback.

That's right. It was so-called "traditional" Aboriginal culture.

I call on the Warlpiri elders to condemn this behaviour and put a stop to it.

Even more than that though, I think it's important to highlight this case because you and I know that this sort of vigilantism wouldn't be tolerated in the big cities.

But because it's out-of-sight, out-of-mind people are happy to let it go.

We've also seen the footage of young people rioting in Alice Springs.

This violence and disorder has been escalating for a while but it's taken massive pressure from the Coalition, the media, and the local Mayor Matt Patterson to get the NT Government to take it seriously.

The NT Government has finally declared a State of Emergency and imposed a curfew to deal with the immediate chaos, but while I support that measure, this is another band-aid fix.

The Federal Government needs to step up and get some long term solutions.

But they're still not willing to look at the problem honestly.

They're still blind to the reality I have spoken about for years and I copped a lot of criticism for talking about it during the Voice debate last year.

Government-funded big city Indigenous activists and their enablers don't want people talking about cultural payback or violence in Alice Springs.

They hide behind racialist language and a mythical sunshine-and-rainbows view of Indigenous culture.

They focus on academic nonsense about systemic injustice and colonialism to avoid looking this dysfunction and violence squarely in the eye.

It's a toxic tolerance and it makes me sick that people romanticise traditional culture to the point where we are now too cowardly to honestly address long-term solutions to the dysfunction.

Funnily enough, I can't think of anything more racist than allowing this kind of violence in Aboriginal communities when you would never for a second allow it in your city or town.

But when you let racial obsession guide policy, you're chasing band-aid solutions for problems that are already out of control.

Two weeks of curfew is a start, but it's just a start.

Now it's time to end the toxic tolerance and find real solutions."
