Annexation of the United Kingdom

Let Northern Ireland join the Republic of Ireland, have Wales and Scotland become independent nations, and we will take England, including Cornwall (i.e. the Southwest).

If we annex the U.K, what happens to the royal family?  Perhaps they could be banished to a small sheep farm near Lerwick?

No -we banish them to some tiny, insignificant municipality on the mainland, like Andorra, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, or Monaco.

Or maybe Corsica, Malta, Cyprus, and Sardinia -they would make fine residences for Her Royal Majesty and anyone else who belongs to the House of Windsor (and by extension, the House of Hanover).

But we don't actually want to be an independent nation.

You will have independence whether you like it or not, even if it comes nearly 800 years after you last lost it.
