With about 19% of precincts reporting, Webb and Allen are in a dead-heat with Webb just short of 50%, and Allen just shy of 49%.

Has Arlington reported any votes yet? I read that they haven't - if that's true Webb could definitely still win this thing.....

According to this site, Jim Webb has a 71.4 to 27.4 percent point lead over Allen with 40% precincts reporting (in Arlington County).

This race completely depends on which precincts are left.....

Update: now he leads with 0.50% with just under 81% precincts reporting.

We're definitely going to have a recount for the Virginia Senate race -maybe more than one.

Nope. Allen just jumped up by 25,000 votes. It's probably over in Virginia, sadly.
Not yet.

Yeah -Loudoun and Prince William counties still haven't counted all their precincts.  As of now, only 45% of precincts in Loudoun have reported their results, with 24% in Prince William -in both of which Webb leads Allen.  Combined with results in the Southeast like Petersburg City, this race is far from over.

Casey won by 24%. Much bigger margin than the polls were showing. I can't believe he beat Santorum by that much.

I can tell by Keystone Phil's rather conspicuous absence from this thread....

Forgive me, but from what source?

Here, though it might have changed since the last time I checked it.

Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William counties still haven't had all their precincts counted yet -only around 28% of PW have reported, along with about 45% for Loudoun.

Voter turnout for the Virginia Senate race, BTW, is at 48.4% -that's pretty damn high.

Republicans appear to be holding on to most of their 'firewall' states with the exception of Montana -and I am proud to note that of the remaining states, Virginia is apparently their weakest link.
