My 'moderate hero' view:

Much (perhaps most) of the global warming that we have seen over the past century and a half of the Modern Warm Period was largely a natural recovery from the Little Ice Age.  I don't deny that there has been some man-made influence on the climate from the Industrial Revolution onwards (perhaps even earlier to the Neolithic period), but the effects of our influence has been exaggerated by the likes of the IPCC.
