Worse in that we lost the Presidency, but again, Clinton got +2 mil. more votes than Trump and Dems took seats in the Senate.

So no, not by the numbers.

Another major recruitment fail. And MT Treasurer laughed when I said it was a bad sign Fox wasn't going to run against Tester. I wonder who the next big name to pass will be.

From what it sounds reps in IN aren't lining up to run aganist Donnelly so look there for the next big recruitment fail
If Messer decides against a run, I will do a jig.

Oh my...

If mccaskill wins reelection i cringe at the nationwide protests and violence from the GOP.

only your party acts like a room full of children when you lose Wink Tongue

This is not a recruitment fail and is incredibly good news for the GOP. We tested numerous lines of attack against Wagner from both the left and right and she sunk like a stone. GOP wants Hawley who is a much stronger candidate and will likely hold McCaskill under 50%.

This may well be true, but it's bad optics. Makes McCaskill look strong.

How many more threads do we need about Claire McCaskill.

Lol, Peterson? Really? What's he going to do? Reference memes in his ads like he did during the Libertarian primary? Congrats on your reelection, Senator McCaskill!

He won't be the nominee, and this race is winnable for Republicans (in fact, I still think it's the seat most likely to flip, followed by IN and NV).

God has told me Hawley will get the nomination and win Sad
Are you okay?

The GOP is really having a hard time finding candidates across a bunch of red state Dem seats.
That's what happens in midterms

Not really. Not de facto, anyway.

Petersons getting a disproportionate amount of attention. He's a fourth placer at best.
He has a large socialist following and has raised a fair bit of money, he won't win if Hawley gets in but he's good for about 25% of the vote

Well now.

Hawley isn't weakened by these comments. People will forget in days, let alone months.

I agree with that. After all, even Ronald Reagan had said that pollution was caused by trees. And yet, he didn't stop him from being a great President.

Yeah, Reagan was an awful President for very different reasons.

Yeah, Reagan was an awful President for very different reasons.

If Reagan was "awful" as you're claiming, why is this that he won presidential elections twice in landslides? Why is this that he finished his presidency with a 63 % approval rating in addition of having it at over 50-60 % for most of his presidency?

http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/data/popularity.php?pres=40

Because he managed to grow the economy through tax cuts, reduced inflation from 12.5 % to 4.4 %, reduced the unemployment rate from 7.5 % in 1980 to 5.4 % in 1989, created 16 million new jobs and brought an average annual growth of real of 3.4 %. His foreign policy led America to victory over the USSR in the Cold War thanks to a strong diplomacy, to a reinforcement of the U.S. military through an increase of defense spending, to the Strategic Defense Initiative and to the INF that aweakenedthe USSR's nuclear arsenal. No wonder that he made America a shining city on a hill.
