In terms of being a socially progressive, fiscally centre-left/centrist city based yuppie pretty boy I'd say California's next governor Gavin Newsom is the closest. He even described himself in one interview as being very socially progressive but fiscally common sense and doesn't think government should spend money it doesn't have. He married into a big republican family so he's "sensitive" so to speak.
He endorsed Single Payer, is running on tuition free community college, 15$ Min Wage & quite a few progressive economic policies. He is nowhere near centrist economically by national mood - The GOP will call him a far left socialist ! He used to donate to Jon Stewart's show !
But anyways I don't know who is as socially liberal as Macron & is a dead centrist on economics (centrist to center-right in some cases including Corporate tax & a few tax cuts !)
