I legitimately have no idea who this is.

He frequently does these posts, mostly in the 2016 board, where he talks about Trump in a general election. It's interesting, but it's (to put it mildly) skewed towards Trump. He's suggested that Trump has a 20-30% chance of winning California in a general, and that he could earn 40% of the Hispanic vote. Also, he writes Trump in CAPS lock, so it's always "TRUMP this, TRUMP that."

His logic more or less for everything related to Trump winning:

"TRUMP should have no problem, all he has to do is win 7% more of the white vote. he's going to make america great again, so that should be very easy"

The strange thing about all this is that I don't know if he's trolling. I think that what he does is kind of backwards: he thinks up something for TRUMP to accomplish, and then writes up some strange mathematical justification for it.

Have any of you actually checked out statespoll.com? It's not the most amazing website I've ever seen, but it's clear the guy puts effort into it. I'm new here. Is it normal for socks or trolls to put that much effort into their trolling?

And how can you learn anything, without being wrong during the learning curve process? Heck, even I am wrong sometimes.

Everything points to him not trying to learn, though. I assume anyone genuinely interested about being accurate would want to know why people think he is wrong.

I don't think it's correct to say he's not trying to learn. In a debate, you state your position (no matter how strange it may be) and defend it, and that seems to be what StatesPoll has done. We don't really know what's going on in this guy's head, or whether he's trying to learn or not.

Fair enough. No idea what's going on in his head, but I still think he is very wrong on some of these things and vastly oversimplifies how hard it is to snatch up the portions of the electorate he proposes for his GOP win predictions (eg: "He just needs 7% more white voters in California).

"Only 743,000 more extremely inelastic voters"

Anyway, he'll probably learn if/when Trump loses California by a yawning margin.
