It really depends.

Do you mean blocking people on their personal, or official accounts?

If it's an official account sharing statements related to that position, if that position affects the blocked user, then of course not, because it serves as a public announcement.

good question. I meant personal ones, not "official" ones.

Oh, well then, yes, of course.

As long as no statements are being shared regarding the official position or the duties connected to it.
