PA-SN 2022 megathread: Shrek vs. The Wizard of Oz

As a resident of PA, this race looms large for the control of the Senate next year. I'm currently undecided on Fetterman, but I'd fully support Conor Lamb. [Fetterman] might be too left on environmental issues, and as a Progressive, I fear that he could potentially struggle in the suburbs.

Mayor Kenney endorsing Lamb is saying something about Fetterman's prowess in this part of the state.

Totally dropped the ball and didn’t post anything about tonight’s debate that just wrapped up. Lamb, Fetterman, and Kenyatta participated. The long and short is that everyone pretty much stuck to their talking points. Fetterman STILL refuses to apologize for the jogger incident and seemed incredibly unpolished as a debater but was fine otherwise. Malcolm got a few really good jabs in at both Fetterman and Lamb but I’m afraid it’s too little too late for him. Lyin’ Conor Lamb is still parroting GOP talking points, giving the run around, and being bland as all get out.

I am currently backing Conor Lamb, but I've watched Kenyatta effectively articulate himself and make his case. I could honestly see Lamb come in third. I agree that he really needs to switch this up and differentiate himself in the field. He's giving off too many "generic Dem" vibes and not enough energy brought to the table. I like his calm demeanor and blue-collar sentiment.

However, I could end up voting for Kenyatta if this keeps up. Fetterman, on the other hand, is unapologetic and comes off as callous. He's a terrible debater and can't throw together coherent points. Even still, he's the front-runner and doubt he wins the general. The man is too far left.

Then why is he winning easily? He can't be that bad of a candidate if he is crushing the field.

Purely name recognition and more funds. Nothing more.

The real challenge for Oz is going to be towing the fine line between distancing from Trump and embracing him as well as moderating on social issues and going to the right on economic and cultural ones.

Fetterman, on the other hand, has a unified Democratic party. I don't see him doing that well in the Philly suburbs.

Oh boy, this isn't going according to plan. We have two avant-garde candidates who have no semblance of how to run a campaign. Fetterman is running memes while Oz is just being the Wizard Oz. It's anyone's guess who wins this one, but I'd say the winner will get under 50.

Dr. Oz is looking more clueless with campaigning than ever. Shopping at "Wegner's" LOL. Looks more out of touch than ever.

Oz's recent comments about Fetterman's health have just gone too far for me. I went from backing Oz to undecided and now leaning Fetterman. At least Fetterman seems common sensical and is a populist despite my reticence toward some of his stances like gun control, abortion, and fracking.

Oz's campaign has become incompetent and an absolute dumpster fire. He looks insincere, out of touch, and insensitive now. There's no way you're coming back from that unless you start reaching out to moderates.
