I didn't know who Trump was prior to 2015, but then again my knowledge of famous non-politicians contemporary figures is completely minimalist.

hahahaha, I'm f-cking deceased:

Oh, Haslam!  The fact that we have a budget surplus doesn't mean that we have to spend it all today!  If the government (federal and state) would get rid of every last bit of the social safety net and every last entitlement, poverty would be eradicated within five years (plus no one would have to pay more than 5% of their income in any form of taxation).

Time to close the thread, guys.
Jesus Christ

... You know, he's not wrong. He could just sum it up with a:

TL;DR: If we kill all poor people by banning welfare and charity, then there will be no more poverty!

How long will it be until these stories are so universally ridiculed that they stop spreading?

Liberals are cultists. They don't care about truth or morals. They're brainwashed.

Just mush between their ears.

Everyone who does not subscribe to their indoctrinated world view is evil and deserves to die. This is what they believe.

Truth has no meaning to them. They're hatred is so blinding that they will accept any lie no matter how ridiculous it is.

I don't know what it's like to be so hateful that I would willingly parrot something that I know is propaganda hogwash. And I'm glad that I never will know. It's so pathetic.

It sounds like he's parroting your ideal BRTD-world from the view of someone critical of it.

glad to see that at least the democratic base is accepting reälity

What's so illegitimate about Trump? You can say muh popular vote all you'd like, but that doesn't change the fact that presidential elections are determined by the electoral college.

ya m8 he didn't win by either measure so i don't see what your point is

i'm sorry facts trigger you (?)

Explain exactly why you think Clinton won the Electoral College

The same way many, many Republicans, perhaps including you, thought Romney won the Electoral College.((Voter fraud)

Wine is pretty gross. Why would anyone drink it period?

Wine, like most things, is an acquired taste and super good once you're used to it.  It's actually pretty entertaining for a weekend activity to get into the different types of (red) wine.  I think white wine is gross, though.

White wine is too sweet.  Red wine is just plain amazingly though.  Bougie.

Most wine "critics" will describe white wine and the same wine dyed red as completely different tastes...

Firendly reminder that this guy likes to criticize Republicans for supposedly being overconfident and delusional:

McCaskill is entrenched! She will win in 2018!

GOP should focus on North Dakota and Indiana and protecting Nevada and Arizona (both of which will likely flip), as well as protecting their very vulnerable House majority.

We have needed a Republican Beet for a while now.

Hope he isn't, but if he is, then there's another far-left Jew in politics doing his best to make America less great. It doesn't reflect well on us. If your brother was in the news for stealing something you'd also be more ashamed than if it were some random person you don't know.
Jews aren't your brothers. It's more like if my tenth cousin who looks somewhat like me and is my denomination is arrested and in the news.

Why is this forum so obsessed with hating her?

Because this is forum of Hilary democrats, they hate anyone or anything not pro Hillary, doesn't matter if it's Bernie wing of the party, Trump, Biden etc.

This is why generalization is awful: At times, there is a Hillary echo chamber none dare to break. The anti-Hillary "echo chamber" is borderline impossible, as Clark Kent, clash, jfern, and other anti-Hillary posters have widely varying ideologies.

He's totally right on doctor-assisted suicide, and besides, this thread is for legitimately bad posts, not "I disagree with his politics".

Yes, but it should be admitted that there is a danger in single payer healthcare+publicly owned hospitals+doctor-assisted suicide.

What happened to political moderates? They make up roughly half of the Democratic Party.

I'm sure Kingpoleon got nothing better to do with his life than digging for years-old posts. After all, being edgy on Atlas is the most important thing in life.
Actually, that thread was recently bumped. But whatever you do, don't dare look for a reason I might have recently seen this thread. Instead, you can all just assume I was digging for dirt on Antonio V.

It's a classically BRTD-esque ideological relativism. Since about half of the Democratic Party is to his right, he has unilaterally declared that half moderates for little to no reason other than their relatively moderate economic views in comparison with himself.

So it would be like you claiming that half of the Republican Party are critical race theorists?

That makes less sense than your ideology.

Quoting years-old posts that might not represent what a poster thinks now is just silly.

Putting a post here isn't intended to insult the poster in question, in my view.

Just asking, would anyone else support a rename of this thread? Sure, ER's views are deplorable, but there are many posters here who are more deserving of the title.
I propose either evergreen or Runeghost.

IIRC, that thread was talking about how most people in the party that elected Stephen Harper would be Democrats somehow. I posted that to satirize that point.

Bullock is one of the best people the dems could put up.

Harris as vp would be dumb because she can hurt the ticket with her issues and the people who she appeals to aren't really the people who the democrats need to put much effort into appealing to.

It just sounds ignorantly bigoted/dog whistling.

432: Governor Theresa May(R-VA)/Senator Jeff Flake(R-AZ)
106: Representative Jeremy Corbyn(D-CA)/Mayor Bill De Blasio(D-NY)

Unless Corbyn really managed to pull off a Trump, he wouldn't stand a chance.

Only posting this here because Kingpoleon ridiculed me for my prediction of a Cole victory in the WV gubernatorial election in 2016. I guess a Republican winning MD, WA, IL, HI and NJ is so much more plausible than predicting a 3-point GOP win in a gubernatorial race in WV. Smiley

It sounds like you are just jealous of my amazing cartographical skills.

Physical attractiveness is largely subjective. Personally, I don't like Black, Asian, and Hispanic girls (the overwhelming woman demographic that supported her) aside from your stereotypical church/business/half-white types (disproportionately conservative to demographic). So, I generally dislike the type of women that'd support Clinton anyway.

What was your point of changing my post?

I like you, but that post seemed decidedly out of line.

Sweden, Italy, Canada, Austria, Portugal, and Indonesia. New Zealand and Australia may change, as might Germany. I should also point out that calling Putin left wing or right wing is insane.

The ex-KGB agent is obviously center-left. He's allied with Assad, Kim, Xi, all the major left-wing powers, as well as the main anti-American powers like Iran, and the non-aligned powers like India. His main opponents are the right-wing Navalny at home and right-wing Ukrainian nationalists. The only exception is his support for the European and American far-right, but that's just an alliance of convenience to weaken the West. There's a reason why jfern loves him so much.

Putin is broadly nonideological. The only sure thing is that he is a nationalist/militarist intent on extending his nation's influence and power. Personally, I would prefer the Russo-Indian duo to their counterparts in the increasing Sino-Pakistani friendship. I think that's where WWIII is most likely to break out. Iran's two closest allies are Pakistan and Russia. It has cold relations with India and China. I can't see them taking sides. For that reason, I can't really see the war expanding to include Iran, Syria, Turkey, Belarus, the Caucasus, the Balkans, or the two's increasing sphere in Africa and, to a lesser extent, South America.

Of course he's a nationalist; so is everyone (except maybe Trump). That doesn't mean he isn't ideological. Russia has good relations with China and increasingly good relations with Pakistan. For that reason I can't see them intervening in a Indo-Chinese conflict. When WW3 breaks out, the US will either be an instigator or a major player, I fear. I'm not at all confident the current skepticism of militarism in this country will last.
I'm sure this is news to Russia, India, China, and Pakistan.
