I have a little more respect for Romney now.  I have no respect for the Republicans who will back Trump if he wins the nomination.  If Trump's THAT BAD a HUMAN BEING; if it's not just issue differences, then why would you support him at all if his character is that low?  Think about that.  The GOP (for the most part, is saying, "He's a scumbag, but if he's nominated, he's OUR scumbag."  If Trump's THAT bad, it's time for these folks to fish or cut bait.

Honestly though, I would respect him more if he voted for Clinton. Voting third party accomplishes nothing.

He now lives in highly non-competitive Utah, so voting for anyone accomplishes nothing.

Uh, I'll have you know that Utah is more likely to vote Democratic than Colorado.

You do have to love it when UT and CO and NV are all three about to be the same status electorally.

Dent's probably gonna vote for Clinton in the privacy of the booth. The guy said that there should be a bipartisan commission to select a speaker after Boehner left.

Yeah, Dent is one of the few House Republicans I like. His actions during the government shutdown and speaker coup were admirable, particularly since he was basically standing alone as all the fake moderate heroes deserted him for political points.

Kinzinger also stood by him, IIRC. Hopefully one of them gets into higher office soon.

I think Dent will probably vote for Gary Johnson.

Damn...

this is slightly different than random Republican moderates endorsing Clinton. Humphrey is a has been, but that dude is staunchly conservative. If the hard right-wing sit out, who the hell does this guy have left?

Humphrey has moderated over the years. He supported Kasich heavily in the primaries and at the convention. Before that, he literally praised Edward Snowden.

Dick Armey endorsed Hutchison over Rick Perry. He's as fake a Tea Partier as anyone.

99.9% chance that Collins votes for Clinton in the privacy of the voting booth
But Maxwell told me that Collins is a loyal GOP foot soldier.

>Not voting for a legitimate third party like the libertarians, Constitution, or even that Evan McMullin guy.

>Doing a write-in vote instead for a general who hasn't been relevant since 2000

Is he nuts? No wonder he's losing to Tammy Duckworth. Useless.

Colin Powell was at his peak of relevance when he was Secretary of State(2001-2005). He managed to do quite a good job of keeping himself relevant when he endorsed Obama in 2008, but after that, the last possible time he could have ran for President, he's been essentially merely a great military expert with vast foreign policy experience instead of an elder statesmen. His endorsement of Obama in 2012 was inconsequential except that it ruined his relationship with the GOP for good.

It was more of an exaggeration on my part.

I said 2000 mainly because that was realistically near the end of when he could run for president.

It just seems like such an obscure choice for Mark Kirk to write-in, regardless if Powell would have been a great president or not.

It was after he got criticized for saying he'd write in Petraeus. Powell makes a lot more sense than Mitt Romney or Jeb Bush, IMO, especially in Illinois.

Baker and Flake seemed the most likely to support Gary Johnson.
