Hmm... two states I've never been to and seem very culturally different from everything I'm used to. Let me put it this way: I think I could find somewhere that is both affordable and somewhere I would enjoy living in South Carolina more easily than in Nevada, but if I were able to pick any place in either state, I'd easily pick some astronomically unaffordable chalet on Lake Tahoe and be very happy.
