Also probably this post from mine around the same time of which presidential candidates I "fear":

Walker, Paul, Santorum, Huckabee, Perry, and Cruz are the only one's I'd say I "fear." I'd also fear a Trump presidency, but it does more good to worry about asteroids, super-volcanoes, etc.

Why do/ did you think this?

This was in his pre-Brexiteer days when he was just the quirky Mayor of London who was best known in the US for his "wiff-waff" speech, getting stuck on a zipline, and the time he was on Top Gear. I was also more of a subscriber to the "all political parties in Europe are basically centrists or leftists" belief, so I figured he'd be basically a moderate Democrat if he was elected in the US.
