what would the GOP do in their first two years of Perry administration with 60 GOP Senators?

I'd guess:
1) the non-military workforce of the Federal government gets a 25% headcount reduction
2) a new wave of deregulation
3) the end of Obamacare (either through outright repeal or SCOTUS defeat)
4) replacement of SCOTUS Justice Kennedy with a true conservative (and maybe even Scalia and Thomas)
5) drill baby drill

what else?

The Federalist Society effectively takes over the judiciary branch; and among other court rulings, Roe vs. Wade (and, by extension, Planned Parenthood vs Casey) is overturned by the SCOTUS.

ok, but that's more of an indirect result...I'm asking what does the GOP do in terms of Congressional and/or Executive action.

Oh yeah, I forgot that. We need to compete with India and China for the dirtiest air award. Can't let them win.

no, I think the GOP has been won over to clean air and water (I'm one of the greenest GOP members on this forum)....we just  dont agree with the Dems that we should mandate not-ready-for-prime-time technology like electric cars and solar power, we'd rather convert to natgas as a bridge to a longer term solution.

I would not be too surprised to see amnesty for illegal aliens, provided they are good quasi-citizens.

that would be about the most politically damaging thing the GOP could do in the next 10 years...the politically smart thing to do is nominate Rubio for VP in 2012 and start deporting the hell out of illegals in states like CO, AZ, and NV

Get rid of Medicare and Social Security. Ramp up military spending by 50%. Cut taxes by 90%. Bankrupt America and then blame the Democrats.

What's the point in talking about things that could never possibly happen on here, exactly?

An impossible situation is a possibility every political junkie may face.  And how we deal with the impossible is at least as important as how we deal with the possible; otherwise, you could end up serving an indefinite term as PONA - President of New America.  Has that never occurred to you?...Well, now you have something new to think about.  Carry on.
