I don't believe Biden is actually running. 2016 was his last chance.

Oh please not. No celebrity. We need someone who understands government business and not another show(wo)man.

Good. I like her, but Democrats need a professional in 2020, not a celebrity.

The more people running just increases the chance of a brokered convention, the DNC will need to come down hard with debate rules. High polling threshold like 10-15% would really discourage a lot of these people.

Not necessarily. I think the first candidates will start dropping out by October 2019. After Iowa, maybe a half a dozen will be left; and past Super Tuesday, it's down to two or three.

Avenatti has a new website:

He couldn't have found a less grainy image?

LOL, "all the presidents con men" sounds really funny.

LOL, he will drop out before IA or soon after, after getting 1%.

Avenatti's latest stunt:

He just WANTS me to rip my hair out!
He's gonna make Beto lose with his cringey #Resistance stuff!

I wonder whether this whole Avenatti thing isn't a PR stunt?

Joe Biden opened a new official Instagram account:

https://www.instagram.com/joebiden/

His old one was still a now inactive government account (vp44). He picked up thousands of followers very quickly. Maybe a setup for 2020?

If he runs, I doubt he even makes it to the Iowa Caucus, let alone Super Tuesday. Garcetti '20 isn't happening.

Interesting to hear they could be starting as early as the spring. If that's the case, it might force some candidates to move up on their timelines.

Candidates like Biden, Sanders and Warren can wait as long as they want with their higher name recognition.

Michelle Obama probably could wait as long as possible too...but she isn't running.

I like presidential campaigns, but the first debate shouldn't be before September or October 2019. It's ridiculous we spent almost half of a presidential term with campaigning.

Bloomberg registers as a Democrat again, potentially as a precursor to a run for the party's presidential nomination:

Bloomberg isn't happening. Too old, too wealthy, too moderate...
