2004.
I'm actually a big fan of the early 2000s for the most part, obviously outside of 9/11. This applies to numerous areas of culture, not just politics (though politics were much better too then). For example, I love competition TV shows, and those were every other show on TV back then (now we only have Survivor, The Amazing Race, and a bunch that are so trashy they're not even worth watching). Also, as a bigger guy, the baggier fitting clothes would have been great.
