Green: Actually been to
Red: Layover (MI) or Driven Through (WV)

Also, I've been to Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Spain, The Bahamas, Jamaica (cruise-only), Haiti (cruise-only), Grand Cayman (cruise-only), Mexico (cruise-only), and Germany (layover-only).

90%: Spent a cumulative month of my life there
60%: Spent a cumulative week of my life there
50%: Spent a night there
40%: Been there as a deliberate destination
30%: Driven through
Red: Airport layover

Plus Puerto Rico (probably 3 weeks total), Costa Rica (3-4 weeks), The Bahamas (3 weeks?) Dominican Republic, Spain, Peru (1-2 weeks each), and a few other foreign countries for cruise-stop length periods of time.

Here is a new way to do it:

In 2017:

In 2016 (light green represents only a layover/drive through):

In 2015:

In 2014 (plus Puerto Rico):

You gotta get out of the Lower 48. Tongue

Have you been to Guam or Puerto Rico? I highly recommend both!

If PR becomes a state I'll have the perfect excuse to go. Wink

I've been to Puerto Rico three times!  It's awesome!!

90% (TN, NC, PA, NJ, DC): Lived, second home, or had family that I visited enough to virtually be home (DC was just for two summer internships)
70% (SC, FL, NY): Spent more than 1 cumulative month in the state
60% (MD, VA, GA): Multiple overnight trips (Maryland is very close to the 1 month mark and Puerto Rico also fits in this category)
50% (AL, KY, TX, CA, LA): Overnight trips (with or without other day trips)
40% (MS, DE): Intentional trips, but no overnights
30% (WV, MO, IL, MI): Pass-throughs (layovers or road trips)

When I "won the electoral college":
-Not counting layovers: November 2017, visiting California
-Counting layovers: February 2017, visiting Texas (not a layover, but additional layovers made my first visit to Texas when I eclipsed 270)

(Layovers in blue)
