Feeling good about NM-02. 93% in and up by about 4
That poll that mispolled and used the old congressional districts looks more accurate than ever! Gold standard...

On behalf of the moderators, I would like to thank everyone here for keeping the thread very civil and on-topic tonight.  We've had a relatively small number of reported posts, and very few that required any action.  Well done!

Corollary: don't make me recant this in the morning by any middle-of-the-night shenanigans. Wink
You're welcome! Thanks for the excellent job you've done.

Almost there, boys and girls!

Located to the southwest of Centre County, PA, Cambria County is now reporting >95%.  This county gets its name from the Latin term for the nation of Wales (who, as luck has it, the US men's soccer team will be squaring off against in eleven days as part of the 2022 World Cup Tongue).

Oz leads 64-33.  Trump won here 67-30 in 2020.
This continues the common trend of Oz underestimating Trump by exactly three points.

So would it be better for Warnock’s chances if the runoff were determinative of Senate control or if the Dems already had 50 seats?
If I had to guess, gun to head? The latter, because it makes it more about Walker vs Warnock as candidates, and that seems like more fertile ground for him.

As wbrocks noted, Cumberland County, PA (located west of Dauphin County) is one of the few PA Republican counties that appears to be trending towards the Democrats.  It's reporting at >95%.

Oz leads 52-46.  Trump won here 54-44 in 2020.
The eastern-western polarization within the country must be considerable. The western end being pretty strongly for Fetterman, and the eastern part being significantly even more pro-Oz.

Once a jewel in the Democrats' NEPA crown, Luzerne County -- an area that has seen a great deal of industrial decay over the decades -- swung from a 53-45 Obama win in 2008 to a 58-39 Trump victory in 2016.  It's reporting in at 90%.

Oz leads 53-41.  Trump won here 56-42 in 2020.
Honestly, despite this being good for Fetterman, this is a bit disappointing of a margin, considering how strongly Fetterman did in neighboring Lackawanna.

Everyone laugh

Honestly I'll just give her props for not insisting that her election was stolen from her.

I mean, it's pretty sad that just conceding is something Republicans can do to get props. But it's where we are.
Yeah.
Say what you like about Flores, but she at least is not challenging the way the game is played.

The Proposition to protect Roe in Michigan is up only 54-46 with 50% in.

Wayne County (Detroit) is literally at 8% reporting.
Interesting.
What about Oakland and Washtenaw?

What about Oakland and Washtenaw?

78% and 58% in.

Wayne so far is more lopsided than Washtenaw (83% vs 70%) but I expect that to change
Ah. Okay.
Thanks for the info.

It seems Warnock still has a narrow window to avoid a runoff.

Does he? It seemed basically guaranteed to me that it's a runoff.
I still think its very likely still. But it's worth noting that it might not at all be 100%.
Depends on how D the outstanding vote is.

After a year of fighting, a bespectacled man in a white shirt stands in front of a big board
We lower our phones as he frantically announces Fetterman won
And just like that, it's over, we tend to our heartbeats, we count our votes
Black and white voters wonder alike if this really means freedom
Not yet
We negotiate the terms of concession
I see Joe Biden smile
We escort their men out of Philly
They stagger home single file
Tens of thousands of people flood the streets
There are screams and church bells ringing
And as our fallen foes retreat
I hear the drinking song they're singing
The world turned upside down...

This is pretty cringe but I don't care. I'm over the moon, I could not be happier. What the hell is happening?
Now is the time to celebrate, if there ever was one. Suit yourselves!

Newsmax concludes its midterm election results. Santorum is given ten seconds to get a last word in. He says the 2024 election started, and it didn't start well for Donald Trump.

Okay y'all, I think I'm heading off to bed (thank goodness I have off tomorrow).

Been a pleasure following the results with you all and I can't wait to hop on tomorrow to keep the party going.  For me personally there's been quite a few disappointments, but also some successes.  And thank you all for putting up with my county-by-county updates that I wasn't planning on doing.  But hey, was a good way to refresh my PA geography Tongue

Night all! To my US peeps, make sure y'all get some sleep yourselves.  Talk to you later this morning!
Good night! Sleep tight. You deserve it! Btw, you might run into Oz at a Wegmans.

So all of Columbia county just dropped and it... didn't net Walker much. Just .1%.

Most of the remaining vote is in Fulton, Cobb, and Chatham, Warnock's home county and home of the great city of Savannah.
That's a pretty good setup for Warnock if you want to win a majority on Election Night.

Not one to generally celebrate gop wins but I don’t mind Raffensperger holding on to the his GA SoS seat

Me neither. He didn't bend the knee to trump. He's better than 99.9% of republicans just for that.
I would have voted for Raffensberger.

MI Dems flipped one seat (SD-35) and they are on track to flip two more to take control of the Michigan State Senate. I haven't looked at the State House yet.

Wow! First time in what, 40 years?!?!
Thank you to Michigan voters for this one!
