MI Dems flipped one seat (SD-35) and they are on track to flip two more to take control of the Michigan State Senate. I haven't looked at the State House yet.

MI Dems just flipped SD-4. They now just need one more seat to take control of the MI Senate for the first time since 1982.

THANK YOU BEN SHAPRIO!

He's just mad that nobody's gonna think of him first when people say "Shapiro" anymore. He peaked in like 2015, it's Josh's time now!

I’d actually bet on late votes from urban GA putting Warnock above 50.

I so don't want to be wrong even once after a night of having my optimism rewarded, but I think, just maybe, Johnson actually loses this. There still looks to be enough left in Milwaukee and the peripheral blue counties to end him.

Not one to generally celebrate gop wins but I don’t mind Raffensperger holding on to the his GA SoS seat

Me neither. He didn't bend the knee to trump. He's better than 99.9% of republicans just for that.
I would have voted for Raffensberger.

It was always my dream to experience an election night like 1948, now it has come true

To me (not many on this site, I know) Super Tuesday 2020 was like that.

Say what you will about him: Joe Biden is the REAL "comeback kid!"

Anyone who counts him out in any race (he's never lost!) is clearly a fool.

Random observation: Beasley overperformed in western North Carolina compared to eastern, which was also the case with Joe Biden in 2020. Seems like "Greater Asheville" is kind of becoming a bright spot for Democrats in the area.

Western NC is becoming Coloradoized

Wow! First time in what, 40 years?!?!
Thank you to Michigan voters for this one!

Damn, we were so close at getting Bacon again in NE-02. He only won by 3/4. Surprised, given everything else, that this was not the year that did him in.

Please don't get my hopes up. Don't do that to me.

NBC decision desk model is now Rep 218 ± 13 House seats (was 219 ± 13).

I can't believe RonJohn is fighting the closet election of his career against a supposed "defund the police" progressive in a D midterm.

It looks like Democrats have an equal chance of gaining as losing the Senate.

In retrospect, it will probably look like a very strange historical anomaly that Hillary Clinton won Miami-Dade in a landslide yet lost Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Imagine if Republicans start regretting winning in 2016 like how some Democrats regretted 1976.

President Joe Biden has overseen arguably the most impressive incumbent party midterm performance in American history. It's an incredible achievement.
