Anyways I think the broader point here is that people have been sounding alarm on the decline of the game for years and the point is that it needs to change or end, it will eventually slowly die on its current path. Every time that someone brings up reform, it is rejected, so the time has come to move on and let something new and organic take its place. The fact that there has barely been new talent and the same geriatric (by Atlasia standards) politicians keep running the game is not exactly a recipe for success, particularly when they eventually get tired. This is admittedly more an issue on the right than on the left, where some new voices have arisen, but the right has been run by the same people for like 4-5 years now, this is just not sustainable, and it shows. Also the right may have won an election, but what it took was a splintering of the left and also tons of inefficient vote distribution on the part of the left and organization that paled compared to past elections. This is not a resounding victory for the right, this is frankly the bare minimum. What we have learned tonight is that the left really does not have to put in much more than minimal effort to win, with people increasingly not caring about the game, the frequency of right wing victories may increase, but that means nothing when people are growing sick of the game. Ultimately, this current path is not unsustainable and while it would've been downright embarrassing for the right if they lost this election, things are not on a good path for this game's future. I do not see a reinvigorated right, what I see is the right being as weak as it always was and being aided by left wing incompetence. No one can tell me with a straight face that there is a bright future for Atlasia after tonight. Perhaps we should consider what drove people to take such drastic actions. Once we actually consider that, perhaps we can actually put all of this in context, instead of looking at it in a vacuum.

This election wasn't about right vs. left, it was about those who want to save the game vs. those who want to destroy the game. Any other interpretation completely misses the point, evidenced by who those on the "right" included in their preferences. Trying to draw any sort of broader ideological meaning from this election is just a pointless self-serving effort to justify your very unsuccessful attempts at destroying the game.
The single most obvious reason why it's silly to cast this election as left vs right is the existence of the Old Labor party.
The Old Labor party did so well, it almost outpolled the Labor party itself. Which shows just how divisive this was on the Left...

In fact, it did. 26 votes for Old Labor, 21 for Real Labor.
Interesting.
That just underscores what I said even more.

I'd like to apologize to everyone for creating this mess. Specifically to Truman/KaiserDave I didn't intend for anything personal to result from it. But for better or for worse it's making everyone sort some things out.

Worst non-apology ever. Hope you enjoyed losing 90% of your friends for a sh**tty meaningless stunt.
I can’t make anyone like me.

What was so insane that your opinion could just completely 180 degree flip?
I still like you.

Maybe I missed a lot here, but leaks were status quo in this game for many, many years. PMs, DMs, Discord, IRC - you name it. Honestly, one of the biggest generators of drama and activity ever. I remember being PO'd whenever leaking PMs was suddenly an infractable offense on here.

I still don't understand the full scope of what was being planned, but if a group wants to end the game or whatever, I'm not sure what moral outrage exists when somebody "outs" your comments - especially when you've been publicly clamoring for such. Maybe I'm just an Old™ scheming a-hole, but these are the risks involved with conspiracies.
Play stupid games, when stupid prizes. I'll go on a limb and just say it - MB did us all a public service.
Oh boo hoo, an apparent conspiracy to overturn the game was revealed.
If you're so upset, go cry about it.

This whole thing makes me think more highly about MB - not less.
The man was a great Southern governor back in the day, he was a great gentleman today too.
Keep doing what you're doing, man. You're a man of integrity and honor.

are you questioning whether i am the rightful southern governor? bc that is still the case. keep crying about it

Haven't seen you try to act on it lately. Evil

Go ahead, make my day!
For some reason, this post reminded me of Alucard von Hellsing. Maybe it was the "old-school" looking emote. Lol.

This is called "going for a walk" in Hellsing Ultimate Abridged.
Had to google it, but it's abundantly clear you are a man of culture either way.

Maybe if you retook the oath again right now in the oath thread it would work?
"Have you tried turning off the oath and then turning it on again?"

Also I just realized something that made the operation effectively impossible - the Supreme Court ruling against rigged elections and tomfoolery they try to cause.
The Supreme Court would in all likelihood be surprised by the scale of the plans, but I have no doubt they would act with swiftness once it looked necessary.

[when discussing the Supreme Court]
"The President actually doesn't have the power to do that"
"Who care"
Sums it all up really.
