I like the current style. i think they would make it go too fast and suck out some of the fun.

well i think it would be good for you to have summaries alongside your current style...but summaries as the only way for you to have updates is not a good idea imo. like if you went through all of 2017, you sum up the year and mention the most prominent and important things that happened in said year.

How about a monthly summary of events?
might come too frequently.
