Arkansas is not 7/8ths Republican...... Or are you making these maps in-universe, taking into account that Republicans would gerrymander Democrats out of as many seats as possible?
I actually attempted to make the cyan district Democratic, hence why it's the closest district, but too much rural land between democratic cities meant it became R. The geography of the vote is the only reason why Arkansas is so republican.

My dream was that Hillary was President, yet there was still somehow a special election in GA-06. And the economy was getting worse, so things weren’t looking good for Ossoff...

While NC and IL are probably closer to my views, looking at Wikipedia, it'd be foolish to choose anyone other than the few biggest parties.

Perhaps a deeper question is: can altruism be selfish?

Well, in the New Testament itself there is a very real incentive given to be altruistic (being paid 100-fold), so I think the answer is clearly yes.

Imagine how the GOP would react if Obama tried to ban bump stocks.

The map is DOA.

The 3-judge panel denied Republican request to immediately block the new map and bring back the old one.

If $hrillary ran for President in 2012 she would’ve posted a YouTube video of herself doing the Gangnam Style dance like the clueless out-of-touch shill she is.

I can't speak for Young Conservative, but it seems to me that Democrats have difficulty using simple cliches and catchphrases to their advantage.  Republicans are better at that, as demonstrated by them turning the public against Obamacare by shouting "death panels" and "pulling the plug on Grandma".

I've wondered if the Democrats could get away with that stuff if they tried.

LOL @ the Republican spin that "Conor Lamb is practically a Republican".

Are we going to hear that excuse on November 6 too? "The Democrats may have retaken the House, but many of these newly elected Democratic representatives are in fact true conservatives and closet Trumpists!"

Question: After Scott Brown won in Massachusetts, were there any Democrats who tried to use a “he’s so liberal for a Republican that he’s practically a Democrat” spin?

They need to win back Obama/[not Clinton] voters first and foremost. But yet people are offended by this for some reason. Nevertheless, I'll admit that the WWC voters that went for Bill Clinton are harder to win back, are largely located in the South, and probably more motivated to vote on social issues, given how hard they trended away from Obama in 2008 and 2012 (who despite not being the transformative figure I wished he was, still ran decently progressive campaigns when he was on the campaign in terms of rhetoric) despite an economic crash in 2008.

The ironic thing is that Bill Clinton not only appointed a 6-3 pro-choice SCOTUS, he signed the last major gun reform bill. It's proof that even those "social issues" WWC voters don't need Dems to surrender on social issues, it's more about the style of the candidate.

Bill Clinton also wasn't pro-open borders, tough on crime, and signed DOMA, so he wasn't a social ultraliberal. And honestly being pro-gun/pro-life helps big time at the local level in many places, largely because it enforces your perception as someone cultural in touch with the area.

Another Oregon gerrymander. It's the same as the current map, but only with all D seats likely or safe.

OR-01 (Blue): D+10 75% White
OR-02 (Red): R+18 84% White
OR-03 (Purple): D+16 73% White
OR-04 (Green): D+6 84% White
OR-05 (Yellow): D+9 76% White

All incumbent Dems would keep their seats, and Walden (if he chose to run again) would be a sacrificial lamb vs. Blumenauer.

we ask our viewers to provide some #HotTakes based on the votes coming in.

the South is Solid Fed, there's an anti-establishment movement because the incumbent isn't winning, thus I'll win in Fremont, and Trump wins re-election in 2020 and 2024 because muh conservative turnout
*extreme thonk*
The take is so hot it shatters the laws of reality.

The way $hrillary murders her political opponents is ice-cold, and if she succeeded in trying to become Queen then Bill would have become King.

I can’t tell if my character is being impugned. If the implication is that I am the Socmaster, I assure you, I hate working with two sets of passwords for the same site.

ChinaSoc is called ChinaSoc and not ChinaSock. I find the absence of the K rather ... suspicious. I think this is a case of the suspect toying with the investigators, much like the Zodiac Killer. Ladies and gentlemen, we've got him!
The absence of the K indicates to me that Soc is short for socialist.

Reddit does offer a wide perspective of subreddits that can allow one to discussed their own interest. What I mean is beyond the alt-right circles, the site's demographic is largely upper-middle class white guys in their teens-twenties. From a political perspective, most reddit users would fall under anti-establishment wings, whatever leaning right or left. You didn't see a sway of support for establishment Republicans in the last primary, nor did Hillary have the easiest with the people on both sides of the aisle.

Heard it down the grapevine from an Indiana Republican officiant that they don't want Braun to be the nominee. Which doesn't make sense to me, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think now I know why...

Katko seems like a legit great incumbent, plus he voted against AHCA. Valadao meanwhile has been coasting by on a combination of a Hispanic-sounding name and Republican-leaning environments, voted for both AHCA and tax cuts, and in general has “the next Gene Taylor” written all over him.

KY-SEN 2004: Mongiardo wins by 2%
SD-SEN 2004: Daschle wins by 3%
LA-SEN 2004: Vitter gets 47% in first round, loses 51-49% to Chris John in runoff
NC-SEN 2004: Bowles wins by 0.5%
TN-SEN 2006: Ford wins by 1%
MN-SEN 2008: Franken wins by 2%, so he is thus seated on schedule
KY-SEN 2008: Lunsford wins by 1%
WI-SEN 2010: Feingold wins by 2%
PA-SEN 2010: Sestak wins by 2%

What happens afterwards?
For Sestak and Feingold, they would still be senators even if Trump won in 2016, and would be possible presidential contenders.

For 2008, if McConnell lost Cornyn or Thune would become the next majority leader. It would also be a big blow to Republicans to lose their own leader.

For 2006, if Ford won in 2006 he likely would have lost in 2012 provided his opponent wasn't an Akin/Mourdock/Angle.

For 2004, it would make it much easier for Democrats to win the Senate in 2006 and they would have had a supermajority even after Scott Brown won the special election (assuming Specter still switches parties).

Some other ones

IL-2010: Giannoulias wins
GA-2008: Martin takes down Chambliss
MS-2008 SPECIAL: Musgrove takes out Wicker
FL-SEN 2004: Castor wins
