They're all in pretty safe D states, so as long as the people who defeat them in the primaries aren't imbeciles, I'm fine with it, I guess. It would also be nice to not have Schumer be the next D leader; I prefer Durbin.

Yes, and so should Manchin. I don't give a  about electability in a red state if the candidate who is "electable" is basically a republican.

But he's not basically a Republican. Yes, he's relatively conservative compared to most Democrats, but I would pick him over a WV Republican any day.
