Rauner's people are dumb they could've sat on all of this and let it all out in the general against Pritzker. At least primary voters have a chance to avoid a disaster.
Yeah, I don't know why he didn't keep his powder dry.
Yeah seems rather dumb when it could very well shift the race to someone else in the primary while not taking his own primary seriously and losing it to someone who would hand the election to the Democrat while probably causing down ballot carnage on par with what happened in Virginia

Precinct report:
I voted in Nameoki Township, Precinct 5 (Madison County). I was the 47th voter there, at close to 1:30 or so.

I took the usual Democratic ballot and voted for Biss for Governor, Quinn for AG, Kelly for IL-12 Congressman, wrote-in Chris Miller for Madison County Treasurer, YES on the 1-cent sales tax, and all the Dems uncontested.
Why Quinn if I may ask? He seems to me like only candidate who could lose statewide come November

If Ives wins, this goes from Likely D to Safe D.

I hope she wins. She would be a down ballot disaster on par with what happened in Virginia last year.

I’m really skeptical Ives knocks out Rauner
Ive heard quite a few insiders in the Republican Party are very worried she could

Im glad that Kwame Raoul won for Attorney General. Had Quinn won he would have made the race competitive and risked handing over a very important office to a Republican in a wave year.
