Of all the Christian seasons, this one appeals to me the most, even if I can't keep it up for long.

The Coptic Oriental tradition of Great Lent seems severe, and I think, a reason why Christianity in Egypt declined so steadily through the years. The schedule of fasts overall seems much harder to keep up than Ramadan.
