Meretz is talking about merging with the Arabs again.

Don't do that. Joint list+Meretz separately should have greater number of seats than them together.

To the surprise of literally no-one ever. What's hilarious is that they protest with a Palestinian flag, but it's their identity, so it's understandable. That's why you need two states under full 67' borders (right to return compromised) or a one state solution.

Israel is totally not a quasi-apartheid and fascist state when they want to annex foreign land aka Russia style, while wanting to kick Arabs from the Israeli state.

Why is the vote count so slow in Israel? - is it done at polling stations or are ballot boxes moved around to counting centres?

Thanks!

Hand count paper ballots. Israel, despite being known as the startup nation, is afraid of electric voting.

Smart people Isreal.

The Joint List is obviously catch-all for all Arab movements and politics and they are marketed as such. They would therefore be homophobes in the joint list as well as progressives.

Can someone tell me the differences within the Arab parties? Hadash is obviously the social democratic party and is? more moderate on the Palestinian Nationalism issues.

Balad is the left-wing Arab nationalist party, less socialist but more radical on the nationalism issue?

UAL represents the Islamic Arab movement, are they more moderate or extreme on the nationalism issue.

Also what's Ta'al as a political party?

Why did UAL and Balad unite, and Hadash-Ta'al unite?

So how many left-wing jews vote for Joint List because of this? Aren't they the actual opposition. I don't understand how you can have the Arabs, Meretz and Liberman and manage to screw this up.

Maybe it's time for Israel to take a page from its neighbors and have a good old fashioned military coup. Or perhaps reestablish the Davidic monarchy.

I wasn't ready to say that even a month ago, but now I honestly wish the IDF would remove Netanyahu and act as a caretaker government until new elections can be organized.

Having a secular coup in Turkey worked out so well.

I'll say it: the only problem with the coup against Erdogan is that it failed. Sue me.

The coup would not have resulted in a genuine democracy and would have to be semi-autroritarian. That maybe a positive over Erdogan but it could have also led to an Egypt style dictatorship.
