Just a point: including the clause "after the term of the current governor ends" in the body of the amendment proper will cause it to never be implemented, since there is never any governor other than the "current governor;" when 1184AZ's term ends, his successor will become the current governor, and so on into perpetuity. In the interests of avoiding a paradox, I would recommend amending the proposal as follows (though I recognize I have no authority to offer amendments before this Assembly):
ii. Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution of the Northern Region shall be amended to read as follows:
Section 2 (Elections)
i. Article V, Section 4 of the Constitution of the Northern Region shall be amended to read as follows:
Section 3 (Implementation)
i. This amendment shall take effect on 28 June 2018, pending its ratification by the people of Lincoln in accordance with the Constitution of the Northern Region.
