Rahul Gandhi:  Congress is certainly winning Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, probably winning Telangana, and there is a "very close" contest in Rajasthan

Conclusion INC will lose Rajasthan for sure

I would give INC 80% chance of winning in Chhattisgarh, 66% in MP, and 50% in Telengana. I agree INC will lose Rajasthan, but I still have faint suspicions that BJP might just fall short of an absolute majority, perhaps 95-100 seats of 200.

What gives the INC such a good chance in Telengana?

How much does this...actually matter here? I know the rapid eternally-Modi/BJP online brigades are all for Israel cause they are anti-Muslim no matter what. But they are not exactly a representative group.

Indians have generally been more pro Israel than Indian politicians were and this is especially true of those who vote BJP.

According to a 2009 international study commissioned by the Israeli Foreign Ministry, the greatest level of sympathy towards Israel can be found in India, with 58% of Indian respondents showing sympathy towards Israel.[204]

As reported in 2015, opinion polls taken in India showed 70% and above of respondents had favorable views of Israel

The INC is a complete embarrassment. To lose 3 states like this , 9 years into opposition is completely embarrassing in every way possible.

https://www.telegraphindia.com/india/mamata-banerjee-arvind-kejriwal-propose-mallikarjun-kharges-name-as-india-bloc-pm-candidate/cid/1988018

"Mamata Banerjee and Arvind Kejriwal propose Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge's name as PM face of INDIA for the Lok Sabha polls 2024"

This might be the right opposition compromise to have an INC PM candidate but avoid a Modi vs Rahul Gandhi contest they know that they will lose.

The problem with this strategy is it lets the BJP argue that "this person could be PM or this person could be PM" and that person likely would be super unpopular.

ABP CVoter survey Modi vs Rahul Gandhi PM choice.  Overall Modi wins 58.6 to 32.0.  While that is a blowout 32 is nothing to sneeze at.  After Modi moves in Rahul Gandhi could become quite competitive since he will have name recognition.

Wouldn't the fact that India is expected to have redistricting for the first time in 50+ years result , make the INC's math more difficult, given that BJP states are expected to see their total seat number grow more than Southern States
