European multiparty systems tend to conform to a type. So, for us to never need to have a "who would you vote for in coutry X" again, here is the full list of parties that tend to emerge when Europeans do Proportional Representation.

The GOD party - mad Christians who hate everyone who isn't a mad christian, although they don't mind the right wing populists

The Humanist Christian party - Conservative Christians who also like poor people and foreigners

The Money Money Money party - Right wing liberals who are now increasingly open to anti-immigrant illberal sentiment, because, at the end of the day, the most important thing is to stay in power so that they can cut taxes

The Obsolete Christian party - Conservative, but supportive of vaguely redistributive economic policies. They've lost virtually all of their voters because the issues that they used to define themselves by (opposition to secularism, abortion, whatever) are no longer relevant - and even they don't believe in any of that any more

The Farmers party - They used to be the party for farmers, they now support something totally different, but still do well in rural areas because people in the countryside are a bit slow

The Crap Right Wing Populists - They made it big off of being anti-migrant, anti-muslim or whatever. Sadly, they were a bit rubbish and got replaced.  Law of the jungle folks.

The Not Crap Right Wing Populists - They are angry, their voters are angry, and everyone is terrified of them.

The Left Wing populists - prone to sectarianism, by the time you read this they will have split into three different parties. Oh, there are four of them now. What a wasted opportunity...

Social Democracy and Generalised Panic - You know the drill, they used to be big, but now they're a weak opposition who don't even know what or who they stand for anymore.

The Quinoa and Bicycles Party - noteworthy because every single one of their voters is a university student or lives in the capital city

The Woke Centrists party - They love quinoa and bicycles too, but they also don't like taxes

Except for the farmer's party (which obviously is based on the Swedish Centre Party) this is a perfect description of Dutch politics

Holland and Switzerland were the chief sources of inspiration tbh, as they seem to have the widest encompassing party scenes Smiley Every party has a Swiss version here. The farmers party were inspired by Venstre or Nordic Centre parties; but also by the UDC/SVP, as those agrarian parties went off in a number of directions once the old agricultural base dissapeared.

But you can fit examples from all of Europe in here - any Soc Dem party; pretty much any Christian Democratic party (Swiss, Belgian, the Nordic ones) that isn't the CDU; the PLR/FDP, ÖVP, Mouvement Réformateur; the respective French and Swiss "left of the left" parties, and so on.

Which parties inspired 'GOD party'? The only relevant Christian Right (not Christian Democratic) party I can think of is the Dutch SGP. Or are the Eastern European right-wing parties in this category?

I never actually answered this so...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Democratic_Union_of_Switzerland but also the the DUP, the French Christian Democrats

Which is the "Minor right-wing party founded by former leader of a larger right-wing party that drifted too far right"?

Damn Sad Assuming you mean BZÖ, we might have to just dump them in the Crap Right Wing Populists box.

I also missed the "Single Issue Regional Party led by an egomaniac" and if we're copying the Netherlands, there needs to be a "Döner Kebab party - for people who just really love Erdogan" and a "Make Meat Illegal - for people that think animals are better than humans and that farming is a form of plant abuse"

It's actually closer to Switzerland than the Netherlands, not that I am dissapointed that people are apparently not aware of my home country's existence Unsure

I was thinking of BZÖ and Die blaue Partei.
And the Finnish cucks. But the category Crap RRWPs is just fine for these indeed.

Les Patriotes and Bruno Mégret's old crew in France. PBD in Switzerland sort of work too.

Basically, the "moderate splinter" approach is usually not very succesful.
