He's still a conservative. The only republican I have any faith in is Susan Collins and only because she has alot to lose by pissing off democrats.

I wish I was that optimistic. She's one of those politicians that people approve of to an irrational degree, like Larry Hogan. These people present themselves as moderates and people eat it up.

Because they are moderates...?

They may be moderates but that doesn't warrant their ridiculous approval ratings among Democrats. They're moderates, but moderate conservatives nonetheless.

Agreed on that point for sure, and the other way around, too.  Why any Republican, like, loves Joe Manchin is beyond me.

Jeff Flake opposes Trump because Trump is an unhinged manchild. Flake doesn't oppose movement conservatism. Why on earth would Flake vote against something if he supports it? To trigger Trump? Lol.

Exactly.  This "put up or shut up" attitude from Democrats is one of the dumber things that has been floated on this site lately.
