@National Progressive: And who says all Spielberg does is epic? Hast thou forgotten AI: Artificial Intelligence and the most decidely un-epic Chris Rock android or disorganization in general it was. Part Kubrick love-letter, part wtfery?

Point is Spielberg can and does mess-up.

I find this to be the case with some bits of the movie. Lewis and Field were excellent,but everything else played out like a bloated 50's-60's drama film good and bad.

@Antonio: No kidding, I mean where the hell is the movie for Johnson trying to get the Civil Rights Act of 1964 even though it's been 50 years? Where is it? If that's not happening, it'd be silly to ask for an ACA movie.

Most good things had some backroom baggage somewhere, but historians are too proud to tell it.

Here's hoping someone will one day do a "Lincoln" on the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
