Lolz.... anybody know some good online betting sites where we can bet on "Which candidate wins Loudon County?".

Sounds like chump change to me even as an odds bet.   Wink

Yes.... that would be a good idea lol

> Fairfax County is delayed in reporting its early vote ballots. We do not know when we are expecting those ballots to be counted, but it will not be by the self-imposed 8 p.m. deadline.

Per the NYT

Reminder. Just 3 week ago, most of you said, T-Mac run decent campaign, and Youngkin terrible one.

His campaign strategy was fine a month ago when the national environment was less bad and the last few weeks were p brutal for his campaign.

I do think he'd have won if it was held a month ago

It's 2009 all over again and we all knew what happened in 2010...

Blew several easily winnable senate seats due to nominating weirdos and proceeded to blow a very winnable presidential election?

(I think 22 will be bad for dems but depending on the economy will vary from somewhat bad to 2010-2014 tier)

In summary, Youngkin ran an excellent campaign while McAuliffe ran an awful one. Dems cannot control the narrative for the life of them... BTW I fully believe if the Dem party in Loudoun had their sh**t together TMAC would have won bc this CRT/anti-trans narrative wouldn't have spun out of control...

If this was just about campaign quality, then why are downballot R's doing close to as well as Youngkin?

Hint: It's because the entire democratic party and Joe Biden is unpopular because of inflation, Afghanistan, COVID, not getting anything done in Washington, and generally extreme social stances.
If split ticket balloting is dead it explains it, agreed on covid, not getting anything passed and the economy hurting dems.

I REALLY doubt anyone swapped their vote over Afghansitan for the VA races

The fact that red avatars are denying that Democrats had pro-CRT messaging instead of thinking that maybe Democrats should actually speak out against CRT is telling.

I think dems should tone down some things but if people actually think thats CRT I have a bridge to sell them......

I told you that Spending bill isn't worth anything, Biden wants to give 450K to Immigrants instead of giving us another 1400

While Id normally ignore your post there is a point to be made here.

It was always crazy for half the posters to predict a McAuliffe margin 5+ points to the left of the polls with literally no evidence to support that. Like the polls showed a Youngkin win, the environment was bad for Democrats, enthusiasm was seemingly on the GOP side, but people were still predicting McAuliffe +5 or more.

I based mine off the California polling issues, clearly it was a mistake lol

So for my Atlas peeps who were politically aware at the time (instead of being a dumb 15-year old who was more concerned with how skinny her jeans were...):

How does this compare to, say, Scott Brown's special election upset in Massachusetts? I do recall commentators heralding that as a pure rejection of Obama (as many will likely say this was a rejection of Biden).

The Scott Brown victory was much more of a shocker and impactful then this and also completely morale crushing at least to me.

The comedy in Virginia and New Jersey have outdone the absolute tragedy in Buffalo and Seattle in making me happily drink my cheap vodka tonight.

What happened in Seattle?

I'll say this - the margin is shrinking in a hurry and there's plenty of overall vote left.  Maybe it's not over after all, and then of course if there's 50-100K absentee votes out, who knows?

This is cope.

literally how

Wasserman called it.
He could be wrong ofc, but im in agreement that its over.  I do think Herring may have a small chance tho

Remember, when the extra ballots are found at 3 AM the election wasn't stolen, it was fortified to protect democracy from fascism and besides, you bigots deserved it.

What the hell is this insanity

I hope NSV is alright. And I don't mean that in a spiteful way.
Why would you feel someone who treated people like sh**t..?

We should hope for the best for everyone. Even those who would not do the same for us.
