It also should be pointed out that the last competitive election Biden won on his own was back in 1972

It's funny how after being treated with kid gloves for 8 years that the media is suddenly "discovering" these stories. The only time the media isn't in the tank for a Democrat is during a primary when they have multiple masters to serve, O'Rourke is also learning this lesson the hard way

He should of ran against Hillary,  but he chosed not to

Biden decided to forgo 2016 since he didn't want to run a difficult primary campaign. Now he thought it'll be a cakewalk for him, and that shows he's a dumbass.
It's more that he got pushed out of the race by Obama and the DNC (who wanted to completely clear the field for Hillary) and assumed his "electability" would carry him in spite of his age and lacking campaign skills

Biden regrets remarks about working with segragationist lawmakers. Whether it will have any effect on the polls and the race in general remains to be seen.

He should publicly apologize to Harris.

Harris should publicly apologize to Biden. She already walked back her remarks and adopted Biden's position on busing. Now she just needs to apologize for her dirty campaign tactics and dishonest attacks.

Literally every candidate has Biden’s busing position today. The problem is he opposed it as a means of integration in the 70s. His candidacy will die.
By the late 70's almost everyone was against court-mandated busing, including the African American community. Harris's "I was that little girl" line was a pre-planned debate line to go viral. Her attempting to conflate her being bused for 3 miles in an extremely wealthy Berkeley neighborhood with the many kids who faced 2 hour bus rides is rich

Actually, Biden was first elected as a pro-busing candidate and then flip-flopped once he thought he could be President.
From a historical perspective, 1972 and 1979 are different worlds on busing. It was a fairly boilerplate liberal position in the early 70's and took a couple of years to become politically toxic

He would be forced to drop out. Democrats still adhere to at least some minimal standards.
Tell that to governor blackface and his rapist Lt.gov

these gaffes have really only started since his campaign has given him more public events, he was in the 30's when they were trying the weekend at Bernie's strategy, what made them think increasing his campaigning was a good idea?

Even if this is just Biden being Biden, and has nothing to do with his age, this is something he and his campaign need to address. If he's the nominee, you all know that Republicans would flood the airwaves with every gaffe he's ever made, and that's something which actually could hurt him.
it would be a great form of irony if his gaffes ended up costing him a general election vs Trump, especially considering that he was part of the campaign that tried to turn "binders full of women" into a scandal
