I'm sure more than a few candidates over the years have had depression and/or anxiety, especially because these conditions are so prevalent. It doesn't mean they've been public about it though because we still have this insane stigma regarding depression. Unfortunately, I think it would harm a candidate to be public about, likely more than a more severe physical illness. Perhaps (hopefully) the younger generation will change that stigmatization.
