Sam Ronan has no one to nominate him, so he had Brazille do it. Now he's just speaking for himself. Sad!

Ellison nominating speeches coming now. Lots of applause, but unclear how much is coming from nonvoters.

Anyone have an updated map of the projected support for Ellison/Perez?

I think this:

Pete Buttigieg ended his speech, did not endorse another candidate. This way, he doesn't have to deal with his likely very low vote total on the ballot and saves face.

They have decided to switch to paper ballots instead of electronic voting.

Jehmu Greene had nobody to nominate her, Brazille had to do it for her like she did with Ronan.

I don't think Greene, Peckarsky, or Ronan have any supporters, so all the votes will likely be split up between the three of Perez, Ellison, and Boynton Brown. Probably a 1st ballot win for Perez.

Last minute prediction: 240 Perez, 188 Ellison, 14 Boynton Brown

Peckarsky also needs Brazile to nominate him. So, he, Ronan, and Greene will all be getting ~0 votes.

Peckarsky now basically saying Trump's win is illegitimate, citing exit polls.

Two Dems working the chair's race predict most of Pete's votes go to Keith, though his number of 1st ballot commitments could be quite low.

They are now going to vote by paper ballot, could take a bit.

Brazile isn't voting, so there are actually 441 ballots, meaning a majority is 221. Buttigieg's name is still on the ballot since they are paper.

5-10 more minutes at least. They're verifying the proxy votes.

What a mess:

Gabriel Debenedetti ‏@gdebenedetti
Now Team Ellison texts members walking back this claim of a Buttigieg endorsement, I'm told. Perez voters NOT happy.

Gabriel Debenedetti ‏@gdebenedetti
Ellison text *after* vote closes:  "CORRECTION: Mayor Pete did not endorse. We look forward to earning the the backing of his supporters."
