Not to be morbid about this or anything, but if it's Jeb v.s. Hillary, could Jeb get a significant bump if Bush 41 dies close enough to election day? I don't mean to be insensitive but there's a legitimate chance of that happening and it could have some effect.

Obama's grandmother (who effectively raised him) died right the weekend before election day in 2008. Of course by then the election was already a foregone conclusion, but it didn't really affect anything. He gave a heck of a speech that night though.



Obama's grandmother wasn't a well known, fondly remembered former President at the time of her passing.
