For now. She's young and could start running again sometime.

I have sympathies with some parts of HB2, but passing it in an election year was a terrible strategy for republicans. (My endorsement was with Cooper before HB2. McCrory is a blind partisan who needs to GTFO.)

The votes in Durham were hand tallied late at night by tired election officials who just wanted to get it done and go to sleep, so it's quite likely that the count wasn't perfect. But hopefully provisionals trickling in from elsewhere will balance out any errors and keep the Cooper margin over 10k. Fingers crossed.

If Tillis is serious about criminal justice reform, maybe he's not actually that bad.

Tillis on criminal justice falls under the broken clock rule.

Yeah, for now it does. But if this is the start of him suddenly becoming consistently effective and bipartisan, then it's not. That's not likely, given that the last thing I remember him being in the news for was that "you shouldn't have to wash your hands" comment over a year ago. But we'll have to wait and see.

As an early supporter of Cooper, I look forward to the positive changes he will enact to make North Carolina great again!
